You're not dumb, idk the camera fucked up the lighting cause they are clearly black and blue when I look at them, but I can see they are physically greyer in the picture. I even opened the image in MS paint and took a sample of the blue color and it says it's like 95% grey and 5% red, so you're not wrong.

We even told him "just get your boyfriend to say something" and he said "no I dont want to hurt him", and then we said "well leading him on is hurting him more" and he'd say "uh well i dont wanna be mean xd". He's avoiding confrontation for like a month because he didn't want to be "mean", as if leaving you hanging was somehow not mean at all.

Yeah, it is, and we told him that. But he just developed this idea that rejecting you was mean, but leading you on while he had a boyfriend was A-OK. And any attempt to reason with him lead to the same cycle of "I dont want to be mean" -> "I don't want to hurt him" -> "I don't want anyone to confront him in my place" -> I don't want to be mean" and so on. If it were up to me I would've told you a month ago but he was so against other people getting involved that no one could.
