But I think it will be as powerful as your computer or maybe even better. It's a console, it is made for gaming and it will maybe feature 4k-resolution. I only beg for proper 1080p and a higher framerate, but you are probably aware of how consoles work. Just start with the main stuff.

More cores is always better, that's for sure. But it all depends. Your computer might be more powerful, but I'm not too sure. Why don't you show me your technical specifications and then I will give you my personal opinion? Laptop or desktop?

its not for sure, the more cores you have the harder it is for all of them to work together properly, lets take for an example when you have two graphics cards, the second one doesnt give you a boost of 100% (i.e. making it double) but rather an increase of maybe 90%, same thing with cores
each subsequent core gives a smaller and smaller boost to performance
