I do understand what your angle is and that it must be very frustrating for you to see many FJ'ers attitude to Islam every day, but I think you're going the wrong way about it. I love how this site loves to whip out the "No True Scotsman" fallacy as being an end all be all, which in itself is a fallacy. You are obviously familiar with my work, so you should know that I have always provided quranic and hadith based evidence for justification when I say that ISIS and co. aren't Islamic.  I totally agree. So many crusaders Christians here that will say unironically Deus Vult. There should be more anti-Christians and anti-fascists here. #186 -

 I find it insulting on behalf of those with Celiac disease when entire tables of people order gluten free. They could eat good food but they choose shitty for no fucking reason. Fuck those people.  Only 1 in 133 people in the USA have celiac disease, way more people than that claim to be.  Most people who have it don't know they have it until later in life too. I have it and I've only ever met one other person with real celiac disease, the rest just do it for a fad. Yet, I still do eat Gluten. It's like people who are loctose intolerant who decide to eat milk and regret it. It's just something that annoys me when people act like it's something to do for fun. #4 -
garageband (12/10/2015) [-] Celiac disease affects a ton of a people, the majority in 1st world countries I would say due to out diet, however the key here is the severity of the location. Celiac diseases runs in my family, so my mom was always persistent I never eat gluten. I was even diagnosed with it by a doctor, but when I eat gluten, I get a mild stomache. That's it. When my mom does, she vomits all over the place. It varies from person to person. Yeah, the girl I know vomits aswell, I just lose a shit ton of energy and sleep most of the next day, along with mild stomach aches. I worked at a restaraunt briefly and I was just amazed at how many people asked about gluten, mostly younger teen girls, for seemingly no reason. (I worked at a sushi bar) I just think it's insane how people are afraid of something when they have no idea what it is. People often asked if rice had gluten, which is one of the main alternatives for people with celiac disease #6 -

I make it my personal policy though to never bum out people if we are going out to eat, I usually just eat nothing, or if necessary eat a small portion of some gluten free food, cuz I get how annoying some people can be by constantly having a group change their diet for one person. Then again, If my allergy was as serious as a peanut allergy, I'd probably be a lot more strict on that. Yeah, I understand. My friends normally go out to pizza or fast food and I'll eat it sometimes, though I know the next time I'll pretty much be out of doing anything. I'd probably be more strict with it if mine was as bad as others though. | ||
