If you only think about it in terms of concepts, then you might think there's not much difference between The force Awakens and the original trilogy and thus you should like it. Yes the original trilogy's great, no one's denying that. however the original trilogy had a bunch of shit that was just flat out ridiculous, most of which happen in Episode VI. Also most arguments against this movie, from what i've seen, have people bitching about it saying how it ruins the whole point of the original trilogy, and then these same people will defend the old expanded universe which don't get me wrong, I love it to death when it does literally the exact same thing at various points in time. | ||

 A lot of people who dont have opinions on things end up going with what they hear lots of people saying. So when everyone says "I hate the prequels, they're so dumb" the opinionated person will have that as their opinion too. So if you go into force awakens thinking that the prequels are literally the worse thing in the world, you leave saying "hey at least there was no jar jar, atleast it was a fun adventure thats what I wanted" But when you're a real fan, and you can see the good and bad of all 6 movies, you have no need to rank this movie compared to the others, you can just judge it for what it is. saying "It didnt have a jar jar" is not a valid point to make, because judging the movie in a vacuum theres no reason to assume going into it that there would be an annoying jar jar character. What you SHOULD expect from a movie is good pacing, acting, and story telling. What you should expect not to be there are deus ex machinas and plot holes. Here is where the disconnect between people's opinions come from: Phantom Menace had bad acting and bad story telling Force awakens had better acting and better story telling, therefore its better. vs Force awakens, in a vacuum, had terrible pacing, ok acting, bad story telling, multiple deus ex machinas, and lack of world building which leads to plot holes. therefore its bad. thats just my findings. people who say "at least its better than phantom menace" seems to like it. people who view it as a movie itself dont like it. its that "compare vs vacuum" mind set that creates the disconnect. Also people are caught up in the hype and there havent been enough nay-sayers to point out the flaws. give that part time. because I'm not.. content is the word? sattisfied? with Celestia's explanation at the ending of why the protagonist can't go to Equestria. I think I have a reply that both makes sense in a real way to me and that would've convinced Celestia, cus of her wisdom I guess.
So in my alternate ending he does GO to Equestria. And I've been told that i'm not a bad writer myself, I have my linguistic-word (I speak spanish though) intelligence the most developed.

Here, it's what I've wrote, like the base of it. I'm gonna polish it.
Then I suddenly felt a nod in my heart. I knew I had to do this even if my mind feared that i would not happen I knew I had to try. I knew it was right.
"Celestia? I ask to come into your world."
"I'm sorry but that can't be. It's because of an accident, somethng that should't have happened that Dashie is here and now we have to make things right"
Celestia, you work with magic, I assume you must believe in some higher power. What is an accident but something that happens regardless of everyones expectations as to what it should BE? I do believe this isn't just some random mistake, it has healed my heart and know I want to be with the person I love, I'm from this world but I've loved yours from the moment I've watched the TV show. I felt like I wanted to escape from here and go to your world. Who are we to question existence and what has already happened?

Also the whole "this all shouldn't have happened" seems like a very immature respone for a "horse goddess". Trying to get "life back to normal" when change happens is a very human thing to do (cus of fear) insted of embracing where unpredictable change leads us which i think is a more positive attitude

(if you're talking about what she tells to the protagonist I think it also shows how much the protagonist has grown, he reaches a stage of maturity at the end and not in the traditional forced view of "I'm an adult now so i know it must be painful". But in the "live is the answer, not fear" kind of way.
