Nothing, I didn't think you'd get it. I'm glad you like the premise of my book. I start it off pretty grimly, and I kind of eased off of it a bit to give some "breathing room", but now I'm a little worried I've got parts that are a little too lighthearted. I dunno.

Balance, young padowan. If the story seems too happy throughout, you should end it with tragedy. If it seems too dark, still end it with tragedy, but have the hero get what he desired.

Oh, I always planned on ending it with tragedy. The hero will get one of his goals accomplished, but it might be costly.

The girl must die. Every story needs a girl, and she should die, just to mix things up.

I plan on making it one of the top three most epic battles of the whole series... and probably the most tragic. She'll gain her sense just as she's dying. I'll have to choose her last words carefully.

Simple: "Why?"

Hmm. Perhaps. At that point she'd be in captivity for years. I was considering letting her words have the sense that she wanted to die rather than be captive anymore, but that could might work too. We'll just have to see how it works out toward the end.

She should be in some kind of disbeleif, and probably even end her life in hatred for everything, thus giving her peace.

Of course, she'll damn near kill him too.

He should pass out right after she almost does, and you should try to go for a romeo x julietesque thing.

Eehh, since she's his sister, by blood, I want to avoid a romeo x juliet thing if I can. I wanted his sister to effectively represent everything he loved, everything that was truly important to him, and just better times in general. He's trying to regain all that through her, but in the end, at some point in our lives, we have to let things go and move on to other things. Doing that can be painful, but it must be done.
