captainyoshi (05/21/2013) [-] Um... well I used to live a pretty normal life... went to a boring school and all... till Bladelust found me. He sensed a gift within and tried to help me bring it out. Eventually I created a magic ink that allowed me to use all sorts of magical ability. After the school was destroyed I moved back to my home town. A friend of mine was attacked and killed after a royal conspiracy. I tried to create a creature from the ink which ended up corrupted and twisted You can never be too careful with magical constructs. Take my servants for example. I've engineered them so that their greatest joy in life is serving me. Whenever they so little as fetching me a pen or finding me a book they feel a rush of euphoria. I'm assuming you didn't make too many fail-safes with your ink creature, did you? Well, mistakes make us wiser, no need to fret. That is unless said mistake gets you horribly mangled and killed, in which case you have plenty to fret about. *smiles kindly* I tell you what, since your work is both creative and incredibly useful, not only will I help defend you city, but if you would, I should even like to collaborate on some work. Besides, you seem like your potential could go even further with a bit of mentoring. Your work is impressive, but I'm sure I've got a few tricks I could teach you. Of course, of course. Supposing a part time arrangement? An odd hour here or there? (sorry I haven't been on much been uber busy and I'll probably be hit and miss for most of the summer) I've gone by more names over the years than I have faculty to remember. I was born sven grimspell, then I assumed a different name while on a research trip to the east, then for while I even adopted the name phil. Currently, my official name is Nicodemus Everspell, but everypony refers to me as nicholas the blind or blind nick. *bows* a pleasure to meet you madam. | ||

| Of course, Heimdall has outdone himself. After all, this cities was built in weeks with a little help from heimdall. At the moment we have three forty foot high stone walls ten feet thick with attack towers every three hundred yards. We've managed to secure a few hundred cannons that we've place on the outermost wall. Each gate has three independent steel doors and two portcullisesAnd we have the ability to flood the ground between walls with molten lava. Inside, we have the capacity to house four million ponies, from which about three quarters have filled. So there's plenty of room. Just find an empty house and move in. *In the jungle four well muscled ponies surround a bearded old stallion with a blind fold sit around an ancient alter* Damn druids and their wandering text, it's hard enough to read left to right with no eyes but they had to make it spiral. Well, as long as he doesn't recognize me that is. Speaking of giant skeletal demon sharks, you need to go feed mr. bubbles young lady.
Awwwwww, but momma....
No buts. Go. *sighs* she needs to learn that just because that stupid fish wants to eat someone, he doesn't get to. Then, she makes it worse by forgetting to feed him what he's supposed to eat.

I....I hear there's a really bad god around who punishes ponies for what they've done wrong. I...I wasn't afraid until now cause I thought I could fix it, but until this is all over, do you think I could stay with you?

My brother broke the evil he held in his soul.
Please... feel free to come with us to our time
You'll be safe there.
I made sure to take you from time at the same point you would have died.... he will not follow

But....it's because of me he got like that.....we spent too much time together and we weren't doing our jobs. I don't want that to happen again. *looks tearfully up at him and starts crying* Just send me back! I don't want any more ponies to die!

No no no no no. Because he broke the rules, Unic's promotion was delayed a few million years as your time runs......and he was either imbittered against your planet or he caught the flu.....hmmmm..........but one or the other turned him into the paranoid tyrant he was until recently.
Still, the clockwork is designed to balence things. If you hadn't done that, something else would have tipped him off. If not for that, something else. The more we try to change things, the more they stay the same.....still it did relult in the creation of flash points. Freeze frames captured five minutes before each world's destruction. Stored in a vault just for that purpose.....or was it built to store icecream? Hmmmmmmm
Oh yes....we're far from perfect. We each have an inbuilt flaw designed to cause us to unravel....but.....oh bother. They're either in the great archives....or in a hidden compartment in the gentlecolt's restroom.....bah curse my old addled wits.
Oh, yes! archives! That was my job for the longest time before I was promoted to council. For the longest time I was ormund. First class librarian number 1235.6th in line for council. *takes out a wrinkled up postcard of a great shining city* I'm ready to go home. How about you boys?
**they eventually wander through to the city of the architects* A vast, yet spotless and gleaming metropolis constructed of gold and adaptation. * Okay.....archives are.....either this way....or that way......oh bother.....or is that the cafeteria? *starts muttering to himself*
*frowns* if you had the blueprint for it that would be easier. A blueprint for your destination is the only sure way to find someplace in the clockwork. Hmmmm. I'm ferrig by the way....but only for now. Someday, I'll be head architect and then I'll have to pick a new name to go on the council.
But that.....that's against the rules! *rifles through a desk drawer pulling out an odd assortment of objects way too big to fit into it* Here we are! *pulls out a massive green volume* The purpose of the worlds is to be observed and learned from, if a world fails and is destroyed, it shall remain as such and it's time and cause of destruction shall be written down.

When I was the Balrog, I destroyed my home world. And I'm having trouble coping.....I just....I keeping having hallucinations that I'm back home, with the ponies that knew and loved me, even as I became that monster. I've....I've got some medicine from lethos that helps, but it doesn't stave off the dreams. Dreams so wonderful and peaceful that they turn reality into hell.
Then I should be a fool to turn down new knowledge. As long as there is a neutral sactuary, I beleive I could take your place in the fight. But what of my appearance? No mortal would praise me the lord of dreams when I walk as a nightmare.

No! In this maelstrom of ideals and violence, the world needs a sanctuary. A place where anypony can come, and enjoy good food and company, and be sheltered in their need. If it were deception himself that walked through that door, I would be just as apt to welcome him, invite him in and offer him some fresh muffins. I will maintain my status thank you.

That is only part of the story. We were created to serve as a reminder of Pan's wrath. For you see, in those days mortals consumed trees by the cartload. More and more, and at the same time, they spent less and less time in nature. Pan sent them many omens, but they did not listen, so he created the original werepony. This beast was godlike in it's strength and abilities, able to best any hunter. It eluded all until after a fight that lasted for two weeks, it was captured and killed by Aries. It is from it's blood that we are called and it's spirit we are given the lunar madness.

I can't answer that.
But did you really think that a revolution like that was going to start itself?
Look.... I know thats what you want... I know you want respect... you think our kind is any different?
We were just as feared... till Sanguine stepped in.
Mortals do stupid things when they are afraid.
They are afraid of you because of your differences.
We get rid of the reasons of that fear... and eventually things change
Change doesn't happen overnight.
Please... just let my brother help you.... he can change things....

*juara feels the rush of sprinting through the forest chasing prey, getting immersed in the smells and sounds of the hunt, the thrill of the chase and victory of the kill* Now you know what you are asking to me give up.
*as he reaches to shake, his changes gesture at the last second to shove juara out of the way as an arrow whistles past* Hunters....*drops to all fours and leaps at the hunters who cry for mercy and help from Faust and her various knights as Lupus chases them down and tears them apart eventually, only one remains*
Faust help us...Aries help us....Apollo help us.....Achillies help us.....show this mortal child mercy and send your aid!

Why do I have to leave? Am I not allowed to be here officer? *casually stands up off the bar stool and strolls over to the soldiers which he completely towers over* I'd hate to leave before my food came, but on the other hoof it would be such a shame if somepony were to as you eloquently put it, 'be hurt' *trails a claw along the guard's armor making a show of the metal filing that curled up behind it*
*looks around him* I don't see any monsters around here sir. Just a hungry customer and an incompetent bartender. *casually breaks the head off the spear and uses it as a toothpick* Why officer...do you see any monsters? *grins at him with mock innocence*

*picks up the guard by the helmet so he is being choked by his chinstrap and raises him up so he is eye to eye with Lupus* So let me get this straight....I come in here minding my own business, attempt to order a meal that I've already payed for, only to have some punk come and stab me with a spear, and I'm the monster? *throws the guard through the window and turns to look at the others. No, monsters are the ones who attack without provocation. And according to ponies like you, monsters need to be stopped. *rips the other guards into tiny giblets and walks over to tower over the cowering bartender* Now, about that steak.

I do not see you as a monster... But they do.
We need reason to stop this.
The others of your kind have already agreed to work with Sanguine. The man is a political genius... if anypony can help your kind... its him. Just please alright.
