Champagne is wine....

Champagne is a type of white-wine.

Supposedly, what differs it from other wines is that it can only be grown in the Champagne region of France. It's the same story with Darjeeling tea (the so-called champagne of tea)

also to add: true champagne only comes from Champagne france, everything else is just sparkling-wine.

And only true burbon is from Burbon county, Kentucky. the rest is just Whiskey.

Whiskey, spelled with an "ey" is American brown liquor; Whisky is Scotch.

Gin is vodka that has had flavor added to it during the distilling process, Flavored vodka has just had flavor added after distillation.


A liquor is a alcohol made from grains, usually strong in potency. A Liqueur is a blend of liquor and sweeteners to make a not-as-potent sweet beverage.
