Well, a sea monster is usually seen as a freakish, aggressive sea-dwelling creature. Thinking realistically that is.

Does it really matter what people claim they fought their wars for? People like to fight for power or revenge, claiming it was for a higher purpose makes them feel better about it, don't act like if religions didn't exist the world would be a happy and peaceful place. People will find an excuse to kill one another somehow

Pluto was just as mush as an astronomical breakthrough as any other planet we've discovered. It was the first Planet (or Dwarf) that we found that wasn't a gas giant past Mars. For a looong time it was the farthest planet from the sun, one of it moons is believed to have geysers (which is a cool thing for other outer bodies) , and like this guy said, there being so much controversy over it being a planet or dwarf planet probably made it more famous than all the others (except Earth of course). What im saying is Pluto has just as much of a chance of being peoples favorites as ANY other planets and i dont know why you're giving this guy so much trouble over it. Opinions bro

calm down. As fun, people say its awesome, but in all seriousness, what is there to love about it? there's nothing about it that someone can legitimately love about it.
User avatar #117 - scruffstah (10/12/2012) [-]
People try to defend it, because they grew up with it being called a Planet, then it's suddenly a dwarf planet, so they bitch about how they think "size shouldn't matter".
User avatar #119 - catwifdagat (10/12/2012) [-]
we're obviously having a miscommunication, here.
User avatar #120 - scruffstah (10/12/2012) [-]
I'd hope so. I honestly don't have a favorite planet, there's something to like about most planets. Now, with most people, they don't have much of an education of Astronomy, so they don't know that there are around 5 Dwarf Planets, so they defend the FUCK out of Pluto, and it becomes their favorite "planet" because it's so small. Do you understand what I'm saying now? I think I understand your point, that Pluto is essentially just an object with an orbit.
User avatar #122 - catwifdagat (10/12/2012) [-]
yes, I understand that you can defend it as a planet, but as a planet itself that can't hold life, there's nothing about it to love.
