Long guns are used in such a few amount of gun crimes that it is a statistic 0. And it's not as obvious as you might think. I carry a loaded pistol on me 95% of the time. And I have been in a few VERY heated arguments while carrying said pistol... and never once did the thought come across my mind to use it to settle the argument. I had one woman, who uses our competitor, start screaming at me because her cell phone was turned off (which was neither us, or our competitor) due to non payment...which she admitted... when I told her it had nothing to do with me... or internet service, she told me to wait where I was while she went and got a gun to deal with me. I didn't wait. Called the police, she told them I tried to rape her (about 15 witnesses saw her yelling and threatening me)... then she invited them in, to show them the damage I did to her apartment. All they really cared about once they got in there was the weed on her coffee table...lol...
