I agree pretty much with you, first statement was bad phrasing, mexican was being a jerk about it and kenjis reply was justified given the taunt if you wish to call it that way from his friend. Wouldn't call it "foolish for falling for" the taunt though, to me it seemed like he knew what he was doing and decided to call his friend out on the bullshit he said this way. Basically "If white and civilized are synonymous as long as your assumption "you want them to act white"" stands then feel free to think about my statement in such a way. The last phrase was i think the only not stupid thing given the things it followed up. In a normal conversation saying something like that souns autistic like me but it was meant to bring a point across and i think it did that rather well. | ||

| Yeah, I was just trying to say that kenji shouldn't be so upset that the guy didn't talk to him, with such an awkward conversation. I understood that... But I also think that Kenji's friend DID understand exactly what he meant, but saw an opportunity to try to change the course of the conversation to try to make Kenji look like asshole, based on the semantics of what he said... knowing that it wasn't what he meant. Kenji's statement was rude, but to the point. His friend's question was intentionally assumptive and misleading. Kenji wasn't the one to associate 'being civilized' to 'being white', the friend was. Kenji was foolish for falling for it.... Overall, it was a foolish discussion which lead nowhere and both parties are at fault. Kinda. | But normal people don't just go 'oh yeah man I understand' when you say to them 'i hate niggers'. Like, really. Basic social skills. Agreed... If someone said... "I hate niggers" I would think they were a piece of shit too. If they said "I don't hate blacks, I hate niggers" I would think that they needed to work on their social skills, but I would understand what they meant. If they said " I feel that the abhorrent behavior of the average inner city African-American youth is not in line with what most would consider to be acceptable by today's societal norms and is quite upsetting to me..." I had one woman, who uses our competitor, start screaming at me because her cell phone was turned off (which was neither us, or our competitor) due to non payment...which she admitted... when I told her it had nothing to do with me... or internet service, she told me to wait where I was while she went and got a gun to deal with me. I didn't wait. Called the police, she told them I tried to rape her (about 15 witnesses saw her yelling and threatening me)... then she invited them in, to show them the damage I did to her apartment. All they really cared about once they got in there was the weed on her coffee table...lol...
