| Yes, I can see how things concerning other things could be concerning. Actually, if I could see why you were concerned then I'd be close enough to hear you too. I think that would be far more concerning to you... Bitch please. There's only three ways that scenario would have ended, and I've listed them here in order of most likely to least likely: 1.) You wouldn't even know I was there. I can be very stealthy. 2.) Even if you noticed me, you wouldn't recognize me, and I could just say I was passing by. 3.) Even if you somehow recognized me, you wouldn't be able to do anything, and if you did try to do something you'd have to kill me first which would defeat the purpose (unless the purpose was to kill me, in which case you are a boring person). It would be necrophilia. If I'm dead, I don't really give a shit. | ||

| The decision itself may be spontaneous but the feelings that cause it usually build up gradually. You don't just wake up one day and decide not to wake up again. If those feelings are there, it's pretty inevitable. The stats don't lie: 12.0 per 100k for the US, 11.8 for the UK. As for yourself, you decided that life was more important and it wasn't worth trying to find a way. Very depressed people aren't like that; they do find ways. Oh I wanted to. Don't get me wrong, I did want to. I was 9 at the time though so I couldn't think of very many ways to kill myself, and the only ways I could think of were slow and agonizing. That's why I chose not to do it. And suicide is usually a spur-of-the-moment thing. If someone decides to kill themselves but finds it inconvenient they will usually stop. There aren't many people who spend more than a few minutes actually trying to attempt suicide, after a short period of time they just kind of give up and decide to keep living, at least for a little while anyways. | ||

| Yes a gun is designed to do that but the crime is not the fault of the gun but of the shooter. Guns are actually pretty safe if don't do anything stupid. People use them to kill home invaders; people use them to scare off muggers. The simple knowledge that they might die in the back of a criminal's mind is a very powerful deterrent to crime. People buy them because the can kill people quite efficiently if the shooter decides to actually pull the trigger. If the argument is whether or not people should have that power, that ship has sailed hundreds of years ago. There are hundreds of millions of guns in America so criminals have access to guns. Any laws that try to control guns at this point would be counterproductive and extremely foolish because it would disarm law-abiding citizens and remove that deterrent to crime. This can clearly be seen when a mass shooter chooses a gun-free zone over a police station as their target. Umm... I think you're missing my point here. I'm not saying I'm in favor of banning guns entirely. I just think there should be more control, like better tracking of guns so that we know that each gun leaving a factory is being sold properly, with background checks and such before the sale is processed. I'm actually in favor of gun ownership, as long as it's done properly. I just don't like to see people try to justify gun ownership with stupid bullshit like the whole "guns don't kill people" argument. | ||

| The suicide rates in the US and the UK are basically the same. The only difference is the method. People in the US use a quick and painless gun whereas people in the UK use slow and agonizing hanging. TBH troubled people will kill themselves either way so why not let them use a gun out of mercy? Actually, if you make it inconvenient enough, most people will choose to not kill themselves. Suicides are usually spur-of-the-moment decisions, so if someone decides to kill themselves but finds that there's no easy way to do it they will usually just not kill themselves since living is more convenient at the time. I can attest to that myself. I wanted to kill myself several times but could never find a quick, painless way to do so. That is literally the only reason I'm still here. | Either way, the argument that guns are not dangerous because you need a person to pull the trigger is a dumb argument. By that logic anything that requires a person to operate it is safe, and this is just not the case. Guns kill people. That's what they are designed to do. | Doesn't matter. Using most pro-gun-ers' logic of "guns don't kill people, people kill people" then the grenade should be just as safe as any firearm, since the grenade cannot detonate itself (unless, you know, it's an extremely faulty grenade). Either way, the argument that guns are not dangerous because you need a person to pull the trigger is a dumb argument. | Yeah, 75% of gun crime might be gang related, but 2/3 of all gun-related deaths are suicides. Suicide is not listed as a crime, to my knowledge. So basically, you've got 2/3 of gun deaths to suicide and 75% of the remaining 1/3 due to gang related violence. The suicide rates in the US and the UK are basically the same. The only difference is the method. People in the US use a quick and painless gun whereas people in the UK use slow and agonizing hanging. | Machine guns only account for, like, 2% of firearm-related crimes. Most crime involving guns is handguns. And who is going to regulate those regulating gun control? Our government can't even regulate the IRS from using a political position to audit freely and with out discretion. In a perfect government this might be an excellent position, but unfortunately like people it tends to mimic our mistakes. Well, we need to find as perfect of a solution as we can. Banning guns is not a good solution. Deregulating guns is also not a good solution. We need a middle ground. Anyways, I'm more in favor of banning guns than not. If a middle ground can't be achieved and we need to choose one extreme or the other, I'd say banning all guns would be better. pebar (05/20/2013) [-] It's not exactly uncommon to see a privately owned tank... But the shells (grenades too) are heavily regulated by the ATF and require a $200 and paperwork for each 1; with the paperwork taking around a year to pass through. Also, individual states have their own laws on explosive weapons so you'll have to check with that. Ah, but like the gun, the grenade will not kill anyone if I don't 'fire' it. Therefore, by most pro-gun logic, the grenade is just as safe. Doesn't matter. I only know one person who has been able to make any sort of profit selling those knives, and they have to work their ass off to do it. Maybe you can do it though. So good luck. | ||

Yep. Doesn't matter what the vehicle is, I love driving. It scares a lot of other people, because most people think that a vehicles limits are much lower than they actually are. It gives me great joy to see the terrified look on people's faces when I take sharp corners at (relatively) high speeds and then the look of confusion when they realize the vehicle was actually totally stable through the whole thing.
Nah. I started to play it but I got bored. I only load up EAW when I'm bored with all my other games because a quick skirmish or two can still be fun.
Mostly though I just set the ai to play against itself and watch everything in cinematic mode, because why not.

No, but what I did do one time is I played as Zann Consortium. I captured the space station (or whatever it's called, it gives you more build options) and built a ton of those old star destroyer things. Since they only use up 1 pop. unit each I made a blockade using them around my enemies space station, and they were cheap enough that every time one was destroyed I just flew in another to replace it.
Bitch please. There's only three ways that scenario would have ended, and I've listed them here in order of most likely to least likely:
1.) You wouldn't even know I was there.

Actually, I think I might have a hormone imbalance that causes this, because my body shape is, like, right in the middle. If you took a guy and a girl with the same weight as me and averaged out all their proportions, that's a pretty good description of me. I'm not in any way a doctor though so I can't say that this is even remotely correct, it's just an educated guess.
Seriously though, I get mistaken for a girl IRL a lot. If I grow my hair out it happens at least once a week that someone will refer to me as being a girl. And there's probably a lot more people who make that mistake that I don't know about because they don't talk to me or about me.

I dunno. Only time I've watched enough videos by one person to bother looking at the username is Steve Kardynal.
Mostly I use youtube to look up song lyrics (so I have the song playing while I'm reading the lyrics). Other than that, I use it to watch funny video compilations (pets, car crashes, etc.) when I'm bored.

Ah.
Well, in an attempt to make this as brief as possible, suffice it to say that I was very depressed when I was younger. I had no way to deal with all the negative emotions so I just disconnected them. I still have empathy though, so my mood is based entirely on how the people around me are feeling, which means that I spend a great deal of energy trying to make sure that the people close to me are happy. As a result of that, my personality towards them could best be described as "submissive".
When I'm around people I'm not close to though I don't feel anything at all, which causes my personality to be more cold and, well, "dominant"-ish. That's based on other people's descriptions, by the way.
Also, I'm pretty sure I've got some gender identity issues, so there's that messing with my personality too.

That was so bad, so horribly bad, I'm pretty sure it gave me a tumor. You make me want to pee myself.

"Neutrinos do not carry electric charge, which means that they are not affected by the electromagnetic forces that act on charged particles such as electrons and protons. Neutrinos are affected only by the weak sub-atomic force, of much shorter range than electromagnetism, and gravity, which is relatively weak on the subatomic scale. Therefore a typical neutrino passes through normal matter unimpeded."

Friedrich Nietzsche, German philosopher. Coined the Nihilistic philosophy, wrote books, made speeches.
Y'know, philosopher stuff. Cool guy.
But on a more serious note, man's an inspiration of mine. I've always respected those who stood their ground for rather unpopular beliefs.

That would help. I'm just not sure what "thinking with your dick" means, as I can't recall any specific times that I made a decision based on sexual urges... Can't talk about something if I have no clue what we're talking about.
Or we could change the subject. That works too.

Eh, I guess I'll go ahead and get it off my chest. I haven't really told anyone currently alive about this, but it's a good enough example;
Take my most recent failed relationship that I won't shut the Hell up about; Name I gave her was Samm. Perky little blonde with a great body and delicious, white skin. Had everything I would've wanted out of another person - great sense of humor, gamer, liked pretty much all the things I did. Compared to me, she was a pure being - because when you boil down to it, I'm fucking scum. But for the time we were together, we were happy.
Then there was another girl I'd met on friendly terms. Like I am now, she was in a world of shit at the time, but didn't have anyone to vent to about it. So that's where I come in - not because I'm a nice guy, but solely because in the back of my head I felt this could benefit me and my interests. Surely enough, after some time, she starts warming up to me.
My only motivation to go through with any of that was, not because my current partner would find out, but solely because I knew I could. Because it was just that easy for me. I ended up not going through with it, however.
They're both gone now. It's back to just being me.

Well, I can't say I've ever found myself in a similar situation. I don't usually do anything because I think it will benefit me (except working, because money), I do it just because that's what I like doing. I like being able to help people.
So, what caused you to break up with them? Seems like you and Samm there would have been a good couple...

I genuinely... don't know. In the back of my mind I had to keep reminding myself to make sure that harm could never find her, because I was capable of keeping her safe - while at the same time, had she stayed with me any longer, gotten to know me beyond what's on the surface, bad things would inevitably happen.
And in that respect, I soon saw she was just far too good for me. There were many things in life she had yet to look forward to and experience, so I thought she should do that with someone who's not as big a fuck-up as I am. So we split up. It did not take her long to find someone else.
As with the other one, I believe she's found someone for herself. I'm happy for her. Happy for both of them.
But, as expected, I ended up destroying myself over it. It's the same shit when I tear down my walls for someone. In the end, I will destroy myself again and again.

You talk a lot, and you seem pretty open about yourself. Your personality is a bit abrasive, but so is mine at times, that's just how you are. The way you described your relationships and such makes me think that you actually do care about others.
Just so we're clear though, you are a bit of an asshole too. You nice, but not overly nice. There's varying degrees of niceness, and I'd say you're about a 3-4/10

Most of that, I actually represent the opposite. Not very open, incredibly quiet, etc. Though I do find myself guilty of some emotional attachment, albeit very rarely.
As for that, I am an asshole. I was always the bad guy everyone needed to hate. I've accepted that, I now only embrace it. Maybe even I miss the times where I display any signs of sympathy for others, but I've seen how others react to it - rather reluctantly. I understand why.

Not rich, far from poor. Slightly above average looks, I guess. I blame it mostly on my slight accent, and/or skin tone. I'm not only incredibly American, but I'm from the South, which would normally mean I sound like my mother and father were related before they married.
Instead, when I do choose to talk, it comes with a bit of an accent - to which I blame my heritage for. Drives hormones crazy, so long as they never get to know me too well.

Solution: Turn you into a useful, satisfied person.

A good point. However, my dreams also never have any useless characters in them. It therefore follows that if you aren't in any position to change anything then this automatically isn't a dream, and even if you are in a position to change anything you haven't, also making this not a dream.
I meant as far as my dreams go. In reality you're very useful, I'm sure.
Given all of this evidence (plus the fact that I've never used a computer in my dream before or been able to hear ambient sounds such as fans) leads me undeniably toward the conclusion that I am not dreaming.

Same. I never understood it really. People complain all year about giving stuff to other people, then they spend one day to give as much stuff to other people as possible, then complain about not having any money. It makes no sense.
Well start with the first thing you do remember. I don't remember being born either :P
In fact, my earliest memory is from when I was about 3. I was sitting on the stairs and scribbling on a piece of paper (I was "writing a letter", if I recall correctly).
