Even if this movie is just decent, ill take it over the old one any day.

Character wise, they did everyone except Doom justice.
Until the second movie, but I like to pretend that one never happened.

Dr. Doom and Magneto have the best backstory and are the best villains and how they never went with Doom's actual story is beyond me.
I liked the choice of the guy who played Venom, he seemed like one of those actors who couldve been good but was stuck with a **** writer/director. Like Willem Dafoe was when he was Green Goblin.
Silver Surfer and Galactus had no actor to bring them any credibility or enjoyment and just felt like a cheap effect to make the movie better instead of being who they were.

I don't recall them changing Magneto's backstory to the extent of Doom's, but I'll agree they're pretty good baddies. And it sucks that so many fabulous characters are played by glorious actors and butchered by ****** directors.
Deadpool's movie adoption is the worst I've seen yet.

Deadpool being played by Ryan Reynolds couldve been so perfect.

It saddens me that Donald Blake wasn't in the Thor movie and Loki never broke the fourth wall to write himself into people's dreams never went back in time to scream **** at Laufey and kill him for the sole purpose of cheering himself up.I wish the movies showed scenes with Spider-man teaching off-duty super villains and anti heroes the ways of NYC, or Hawkeye making terrible decisions. And I grieve at the exclusion of Redwing, Sam Wilson's mighty falcon.

They captured the personality perfectly in the beginning and then..... mutations.

If I were the director and had to change certain characters for plot, I would've altered Reed Richards. Maybe then he'd be more enjoyable. I would not, however, completely re-invent one of the greatest supervillians of all time.

That being said, I think Loki's movie makeover was the perfect way to merge the 'current' Loki that was in the comics at the time (Lady Loki) with the ridiculous looking Loki from the Golden Age that fanboys like my dad grew up squealing over.

That was beautiful.
