He's a guy who fucked his sister (a married woman), threw a child to his death (but it didn't work), killed a king he swore to protect (saving a whole city), etc. See, it's not that simple. I like Jamie, but he is no charm prince.

Don't brush off "saving a whole city" like it's nothing. Incest and trying to kill a child to cover up is incest are flaws, but he more than makes up for that. Jamie, especially later in the books, is one of the few characters who will ignore honor in order to do the right thing.
