 I'm not gonna down vote you because you do have a slight point. I believe lives are more important then a bunch of parades with half naked people though. As for the flag half-mast part we tend to group those into specific days like 9/11 when we show respect for police and firefighters who died on that day and since. As for it taking 5 days, well the military is generally made up of a collection of idiots. They were probably making sure those men had died filing the paperwork and double checking it. And, the military has nothing to do with it. Only the president can order the flags lowered, and believe me, he new what happened before the news did. All it would have taken was: 1) A staffer comes in and tells him what happened 2) He asks if anyone died 3) They tell him 4) He says "This is a tragedy. Lower the flags." 5) The flags are lowered.
