| Oh! So if I spend hours in my mother's basement to play a single level, I can hang with the hardcore gamers just like you? Oh boy! And again you are confusing 'hard' and 'old' as synonyms for 'good'. But I'll give you this: games that are difficult tend to keep people on longer, mostly for their own pride. I've beaten Dead Space 1 & 2 on Impossible and Zealot, respectively. I spent days getting A Monument To All Your Sins on Reach. I collected all 100 feathers on Assassin's Creed II. I've put in time and effort, sorry for not being born in '93 or '94, sorry for being too well off to have a Playstation 2 then an Xbox 360 instead of an NES then SNES. Enough arguing over how much effort each game should take, because when it comes down to it? We have different reasons to play, but in the end, that's what we're doing. Playing. ahhh, I love the gentle bashing in each of your comments. whats even better you actual mention some hardcore games finally, i said nothing of age with difficulty in my last comment so again goes without basis. and agreed we play different games for different reasons. it's not like I said no new games can be hardcore games because i have played some good hard hardcore games on newer systems. It's just you were claiming that; one game you haven't even touched, one you've played probably little of, and one which you've probably only played one of the series, were not hard core. Which I disagree with. | ||

| >implying you aren't 12 years old Oh, and I guess you are the sole person on this planet who can judge whether or not a game is 'hardcore'. Some games are hard, which is why they have difficulty levels, because not everyone wants to spend 7 hours on a single level, because they want to have fun with the game they paid for, not obsess over how hard it is just so they can have hollow bragging rights. And then some games are hard to beat solely because they are shitty, not because of the player's lack of skill. I'm not saying I'm the only one who can judge, but your definition of hardcore was that of today's youth shallow and lacking. Sorry not quite 12 attending university this year. To call a game "hardcore" is an amazing right for a game to get, so only the best, hard games should get it. if you want "fun" games hardcore isn't the place to look. Hardcore is entirely about bragging rights and HARD work. if you don't want to put in the time you can't hang with hardcore gamers. Oh! So if I spend hours in my mother's basement to play a single level, I can hang with the hardcore gamers just like you? Oh boy! And again you are confusing 'hard' and 'old' as synonyms for 'good'. | Yeah, I played the old mario games, not the legend of zelda ones. Wasn't that hard, especially when I found the warp pipe, breezed through the last level (sarcasm), and kicked Bowser's ass to Kingdom Come. Is this the part where you tell me I can't talk about games because I haven't played Legend of Zelda 2? Like I said, old doesn't mean good. And let's define 'Hardcore', shall we? Hardcore is, in my book, a game that one plays for hours on end, not necessarily because it's hard. games nowadays can be called hardcore because people want to level up. #58

Stay on your PC. NO, now's the time i say you can't say what games are genuinely hard, and by your logic of hardcore every semipopular MMO that exists is "hardcore" the title of true "hardcore" goes to games that you spend hours on, struggle, and ultimately beat it, or get beat by it. not the newfag "hardcore" of today's youth >implying you aren't 12 years old Oh, and I guess you are the sole person on this planet who can judge whether or not a game is 'hardcore'.
