Let me rephrase what i tried to say earlier.

Oh, I guess i was wrong!

At the same time, you don't have to be a dick about me being wrong.

The "fact you know how irony works" is not a valid reason to correct me. The only reason you felt the need to correct me is because you take some sort of pride in correcting random people on the internet. Talk about inferiority complex! You are no better than a common grammar Nazi.

Most grammar Nazi's that i have known are English majors, and feel a need to use their worthless degree against people that only have the basic high school education that i have. Also, before you use the whole "difference between irony and hypocrisy should have been taught in high school" I will respond that we did indeed cover the difference between the two subjects. However, it has been two years since i have been in high school, and i am currently taking courses at a vocational school that really doesn't emphasize English, math, or science. So i did have a momentary lapse in thought when I made that statement.

The statement "good luck with that job market" was made because English majors have one of the highest unemployment rates, next to philosophy and most of the social sciences.

The shitty attitude comes from the shitty attitude i received from you earlier.

And finally, if i EVER see the question "What is the difference between Irony and Hypocrisy" in an application, or if I hear it in an interview, I swear to god I will PM you.

I am done arguing with you, so I am going to ask that we leave it at this. Go ahead and reply to this if you must. However, I will no longer be responding. Have a good day, and once again, good luck with the job market.

PS. What do they teach you with a carpentry degree? I mean, I took some wood shop in high school, and we had construction companies hiring some of my classmates right out of high school. I guess I just don't see the purpose of getting a degree in the subject. Whatever floats your boat I guess.

Thanks, man! I'm actually just finishing up my last semester of carpentry at college now as well, so I sorta have both. This way, I have both the ability to write, read, think critically, and communicate my thoughts in a clear manner, as well as have access to a totally different source of income.

Really sorry that your blatantly obvious inferiority complex gets in the way of you sounding vaguely intelligent. Most people would have the capacity to look at their mistake and say "oh, well I guess I was wrong". If we were talking about things like math and chemistry and psychology, I would say things like that if I made an incorrect statement. What I would not do is bring up a person's educational history to challenge their right to the correction (not that education is correlative to intelligence). I appreciate your concern, but I think the person in need of luck in the job market isn't me, its the guy who doesn't know the difference between irony and hypocrisy sporting the shitty attitude.

Alright, I suppose I was wrong in saying ironic. However, if you are not an English major, then you really need to re-evaluate your life man. Correcting grammatical mistakes on the internet isn't all that cool. Especially when you are talking about the differences of hypocritical, ironic, sarcastic, ect.

Just be glad some of us can form simple sentences without butchering the English language.
