Lost all Respect for Bill Nye
Neither of them is a climate scientist. I don't know how it came to be that climate change was such a hot button issue. Whoever changed the focus from pollution to climate change was a villain and a genius. Whether or not the climate is changing, and whether or not humanity has had a hand in it, crap in the air and water is bad. No one is pro smog, no one is pro drinking water or oceanic garbage dumping. I'm sure there's some special little flat earther out there who disagrees, but I'm pretty sure almost knows that people make smog, with maybe the rare volcano chiming in. I live in a super conservative town that also considers itself super country. Mudding, fishing, sleeping under the stars in the truck bed. There haven't been crawdads in our county for years now, there is some kind of chemical that got in the water and made them unable to breed. That used to be one of the best parts of summer. When I was in highschool in the 90's taking your girlfriend out for a night under the stars was a rite of passage. I'm outside looking up right now and I can only count 12 stars, one of which I think is actually Venus, but whatever. The fucking stars are gone and no one in town seems to make the connection that maybe it's the thick ass blanket of smog that routinely gets us placed as worst air pollution in the country. Bakersfield, CA, if you want to look it up. Also, yes, a strongly conservative Cali town, there are a few of us. Also, most of our smog gets blown in from elsewhere, then gets stuck here as a delightful feature of our geography, so I can't really blame California environmental policy here. I sure do when it comes to our piss poor water management though. Anyway, it just boggles my mind that people in my town are so against environmental protection, when it's clearly taking away the parts of our town that were part of our very town identity. It's like if Hawaii turned into a bunch of trash beach. I've never commented a rant like this before, I think I'm a sperg now. Neat.
More scientists agree with the one on the left, and so does the data.
That's not at all how I've heard it. Bill Nye has become no better though.
