It could very well have been improvised and the kept it as it happened. The "got it" may very well have been simply because he managed to keep it from breaking.

Ummmm, no he doesn't... He holds it right back up and says "Got it!"

Must be mixing up scenes then. Because during that whole sequence he dances around like a loon, falls down, and at some point the jar gets broken on the deck.
