| I don't really care for those classic things, I enjoy simple reads so military or sci-fi novels. Plus, the US school system just works in a way that anything you read in school you usually end up disliking because of how you are forced to pick it apart and take any fun out I just remember everyone liking Poe stories because they were macabre and short | ||

| I meant a shooter (genre) instead of a turn based RPG (genre). OK you can argue it's an Action RPG with shooter mechanics. What makes it a shooter? Well, the fact that you view the game from 1st or 3d person perspective, move your crosshairs to where you want to shoot, and click the shoot button. That's almost the literal definition of a shooter. Have you checked out Pillars of Eternity yet? It's supposed to be a BG successor. Dem kickstarter backer "NPCs" And to think I read like 10 or more before realizing what they were... Wait what? I saw the tombstones or whatever with the personalized mesagges, but I didin't encounter any backer NPCs... I think Where were they? They were the random guys with unique names written in gold font, which if you talk to them, it says something like "you look into this individual's soul and see *insert long obnoxious backstory written by a backer that's almost always painful to read* Unfortunately I didn't like the game either. I've quit playing in What its name, the big city, because of being bored. Now I do intend to finish the game, just to get my money's worth, but it doesn't grip me at all. And I can't really point out any obvious flaws, they did go through with all the promises like the stronghold, the graphics, etc. Of course I would. I can imagine it would hurt the sales, though. yeah? I feel the ability to freely look from a first person perspective and shoot down a barrel is central in creating a more immersive environment. it makes things a whole lot more "personal," whether its looking for items or getting in a deathclaw's face with a supersledge. another thing i wanted to mention was how great it feels to walk around and search every nook and cranny for any semblance of items that i'm keeping an eye out for, fallout 4 does that spectacularly. you really feel like a scavenger looking for rare materials (right now im desperate for adhesives and fiber optics because i specialize in laser weapons, and i used the last of my oil so im looking for that as well) in a post apocalyptic setting, thinking of specific areas like "that gas station is sure to have the oil/copper/aluminum that i need." the need for certain materials always changes, which changes the type of environments i'm looking for. the ONLY thing im sad about with the game is the lack of a survival mode, such as what they had in NV. I would have loved if they made food/water/sleep more of a necessity, though that is expressed to a certain extent in the settlement system. I still can't believe a BG fan would prefer 1st person over top-down I suppose you wish you could play Baldur's Gate in first person, as well? | ||

anon (11/13/2015) [-] Wouldn't worry too much about others freaking out about the smallest details of the game. I have about 50 hours in it and my only complaints are the 'less explanatory dialogue options menu' -- I want the full lines listed... As well as the lack of unique weapon models. Both of which will be fixed by February by mods, so yeah. Well those are he games he's talking about, your comment was pointless. you're seriously coplaining because to you fallout 4 doesn't live up to fallout 1 and 2? if i could go back in time >i would visit you right after you finished one and 2 >bring you to the present let you play fallout 4 >show you this retarded as comment >watch your old self beat the shit out of new self for sounding like a retarded cunt Is it so hard for you to accept that some people want other things in games than you? To me problem with Fallout 3 and especially Fallout 4 was bad writing, lack of humor, reduced options for characters that are not combat oriented, etc. My favorite game of all time is Planescape: Torment. Because of all the story and depth and roleplay. If you went to past and showed me Fallout 4, my younger self would have told you "Yah, its pretty, its still just a jumped up action game." Because I'll take good story over pretty graphics and action any time. then maybe you're not the target audience is that so hard to accept why does fallout 4 have bad writing, it seems the same as nv and 3 to me, lack of humor is verry subjective, i've laughed a few times out loud with this game that rarely happens for me. what kind of options? sneak? i don't get it you really don't seem like the target audience Except I was the target audience for Fallout 1 and 2. Bathesda bought a popular franchise and then made something completely different from it. They took an intelligent, satirical RPG and made it into a simplified action game. Not immidiately, Fallout 3 was still an RPG, just more action based and with weaker storyline. Fallout 4 is no longer an RPG its an action game. Mind you, a really good simple action game, but completely different from what Fallout was before. NV actually had a decent story line, I didn't like the interface but I actually quite liked the game. And again, to me, it was about writing. In Fallout 3 and 4 your "choices" are basically be a saint or be a monster. NV had what previous 1 and 2 had, that was shades of gray choices. Not simply "good" or "bad" but "good for some, bad for others, you chose". Reducing talking to a wheel is done to save on voicing the character. So several different choices can have a same voiced line. While it worked in Mass Effect, it really doesn't fit the fallout feel. Fallout 1 and 2 could be finished with almost no fighting. Fallout 4 is basically a fighting game. Its no longer a RPG, they took out conversation lines, they took out character stats and they put massive emphasis on combat. So yeah, Fallout 4 does not live up to Fallout 1 and 2, and your idea that somehow my or anyone's younger self would love Fallout 4 more than 1 and 2, is stupid. | ||

| Life is freaky bro. Lizards are another example. The male mates with the female and fertilizes her eggs. Seems normal, right? Wrong. Lizards don't have X or Y sex chromosomes, they have W and Z. Why? Because otherwise, we'd be forced to call the egg laying lizard the male and the sperm depositing lizard the female. That's right, in lizards, the sex chromosomes carry the opposite traits as we would expect. Female lizards are WZ, analogous to XY. Male lizards are WW, analogous to XX. That's why if a female lizard washed up on a deserted island alone, she can produce her own set of male offspring, mate with them, and lay eggs of both sexes, thus starting an entirely new population of lizards on said island. They'd be bottlenecked genetically, but since lizards have such a fast reproductive cycle, they would quickly rebuild genetic diversity. Think of it like this. WAAAAYY back in the day, before any of the types of animals and such that live today existed, long before land animals or complex fishes, way back in the cambrian explosion, there was virtually no difference between males and females. All organisms were probably hermaphrodites, sharing identical features. Eventually, to better optimize for specific roles and gain an advantage, male and female organisms started to show more and more sexual dimorphism. The sex cells, which used to be identical, were also effected. In our case, the female cells became eggs, while the male cells became sperm. In the lizard ancestors case, the opposite happened. That means that the Lusty Argonian Maid is actually a dude (genetically, from our perspective). | ||

| Oh. Well realistically I got asked out the last two. I have three keys for anti-virginity warfare. 1. Learn a craft/hobby and spend time with others in it. For me it was cosplay, for some it running good parties), 2. work on an outgoing personality. Self explanatory. Be the person others want to be around for whatever the reason. 3. Healthy/workout. Even stupid people can land babes with the right tools! | ||
