It views the limits of the number it can pick (from 000,000,000 to 999,999,999) as a large circle. It basically 'spins' the circle like a roulette wheel until it is randomly 'stopped' on a number. Therefore there is no 'edge' #1626

robins (03/03/2010) [-] i'm not sure if this is right, but it does make sense mathematically. but the seed number and the mathematical equation would make the number pseudo-random. meaning, it is random, but through the last number, you are produced a new number. and so on and so forth. let's say that 123 is a number for a roll 3. if my equation were...i don't know...let's say (x^(9/2.248)/(x^2+2x+1)-(3x^2-x-10) where x=123 (the seed number in this case), then the new number would be 147 and so on and so forth. even if this wasn't the equation used, the chances of getting a 000,000,000 or a 999,999,999 would be slimmer if no rounding of the decimals were used | ||
