I could tell you how I think that is wrong, but fuckyosixtyminutes and justintheWaysian have already done a good job.
For the record: Unless we are talking astronomical sclae or something stuff taht happened before I was born is not recent in my books, what is and what isn't depends on the context
#139 - JustintheWaysian (10/30/2014) [-]
"recent" can mean a lot of things depending on the context
"Astronomically recent" = 'anywhere in the last several billion years'
"Geologically recent" = 'anywhere in the last several hundred thousand or million years'
"Historically recent" = 'anywhere in the last several thousand years'
"Modern recent" = 'anywhere in the last several hundred years or even the last decade'
"Relatively recent" = 'anywhere in the last year'
"Funnyjunk recent" = 'since the last time you were called a nigger faggot'
So yes, recent can be nearly anything depending on the context
#143 - JustintheWaysian (10/30/2014) [-]
From an objective standpoint, "recent" lacks any meaning at all, because by definition it is a subjective term.
"Recent" relates one event to another (including the present), and as thus, is relative. Without a reference point, there is no such thing as "recent". And once the reference point is established, the kind of "recent" changes based on the context, altering the magnitude of how "recent" something is and also altering the tolerance of what is considered "recent" in the given context.

This makes twice you have replied to me and given me the sense that you think you are telling me something I don't already know. My comment was about the merits of the poster's subjective definition of "recent", not a criticism that he didn't adhere to some objective definition.

S2 was bad, but halfway through kinda picked up. Yeah, the fights were still kinda lame, but I think after Korra lost her memory is a key point in her character. After that moment, she barely acts all bitchy, and instead is calm level headed and even willing to sacrifice herself. Also, about the open endedness:
-The Equalist movement's end is gonna be addressed in the video game they're making.
-I think after she tried and failed, and had to leave to fight those terrorists and found the new air nation, people just kinda accepted it. In the S4 opening, they list the spirit forest as one of the tourist attractions.
-In the first few episodes of S4, they say that Kuvira has spent the last 3 years bringing order to the Earth kingdom, which begs the question: should Kuvira give up all her hard work and give it to a bumbling prince, or keep control and be hated by the other nations?
