I know that though - you should try "meditation", I do it in the shower, I feel so rested and 30minutes of it feels like a few hours. Should try to pick up lucid dreaming, can make 3hours feel like 10.

I do meditate, but I've no luck with lucid dreaming. Tried the sleeping on my back and letting my hand drop method last, went four days without sleep before I gave up and went back to sleeping on my stomach lol

I hear it's different for everyone, but really helped me after my incident where I could just about sleep 2-3hours a night. Hope you get it working, it really sucks not being able to sleep.

You could try to hit the gym, get a good routine. Tires you out, if you do it in the morning or afternoon, it could help you sleep easier.

Odd position (no offense) for a 24 year old person. I can't go to sleep when I am wasted, whenever I close my eyes - everything spins. Pls no.

I'm usually in odd positions lol. I don't sleep much unless I'm passed out drunk, rarely sleeping more than 3 hours a night. A shame really, I love dreaming

... It's not humanity, it's every species on the planet. Also your theory of altruism is bullshit.

Altruistic behaviour is generally just reciprocal altruism where you act charitably as a sort of invested action. If you are charitable it makes you look good and increases the likelihood others being generous towards you.

You're a strange pseudo-intellectual. Can't tell if you're dropping the "ity" on humanity to be edgy or if you're a non-native english speaker :I

Altruistic behavior is sacrificing yourself your either your genetic code to be passed on i.e. a mother taking a bullet for her son, or for your species to be carried on. An aunt or uncle with no children, taking a bullet for a niece or nephew, is altruistic and helps protect some of their genetic code, as the relative would have some of that. They know they'd never have kids of their own, but part of their code would live on. Look into the theory, its at least thought provoking. Humanity to me is the same as inhuman, they traits or emotions, though english isn't my native language

Then one country will act violently and conquer the world.

The reason why altruism doesn't exist is because all it takes is one cheater to fuck the rest of the population.
#107 - rimjobmcgee (01/07/2015) [-]
That was my original point, humani will never be trustful or deserving of that trust enough for that to happen. The only reason humans can never have a utopia is human nature itself. Altruism does rarely exist in humans I'll add, there is even a mathematical formula on how and why it helps reproduction, though the original theorist died trying to disprove it and failing

#104 - rimjobmcgee (01/07/2015) [-]
Transferring cost of militaries to relevant costs of food, minus the pay of the soldiers of every rank then transferring them to agriculture and ways of benefiting humani and the planet in ways they know, or teaching and training those who don't, so they aren't jobless and are benefiting the race. War is the current mother of invention, but what if the mother of invention changed to benefit the race?

I wouldn't say it's an equation, but a standard.

"if the number at the end doesn't match the equation, then they aren't a lady"
I tend to look at it this way: ladyship is definitely a high bar. If they fall short of it then, yes, they are not a lady. Mind you, It's not about nitpicking every tiny mistake someone makes, but about major breaches of the code / acting in ways completely opposite to lady-like behavior.

Besides, being an atheist gave an aversion towards obscurantism and mysticism. If my definition is too mathematical as you say it is from your perspective, then I certainly won't mind it being that way.

Maybe it is that nostalgia towards past memories and past ages is enhanced the more vague the memories are, or the more blurry our conception of those past ages is. That I do not know for certain.

At any rate and sadly, none of this matters since ladies don't exist anymore.
I will raise my unborn daughters to this lofty ideal of excellence, and tell them to settle for nothing less than true gentlemen. But other than, ladyship doesn't exist anymore.
