Especially annoying when it's a book being made into a movie, and one of the characters (usually the lead) is specifically said to be unattractive. The actor/actress playing them is always pretty or handsome. Always.
#36 - rimjobmcgee (05/29/2014) [-]
I usually can't even watch half of a movie based on a book I liked without storming off. Leaves me conflicted because I have a trilogy I've reread until my copies are falling apart that would make great movies, but as great as the movies could be, I fear how bad they could be ruined
User avatar #37 - somethingpants (05/29/2014) [-]
I'm constantly terrified of watching movies based on books I love. Harry Potter was good, and so is Hunger Games so far. Percy Jackson was such a disappointment.
#38 - rimjobmcgee (05/29/2014) [-]
Percy Jackson was worse than a disappointment, it was a complete waste of the potential it had

I stopped as soon as he got to the camp and haven't even bothered finishing it or starting the other movie. I can understand some minor details being lost in the transition from book to movie, but sometimes it's just people wanting to put their 2 cents into something that doesn't need it.
#41 - rimjobmcgee (05/29/2014) [-]
I watched both movies, and too much is missing. He doesn't even have the shield his brother made him. Its like they want each movie to be a possible last, encase they can't make the full series
User avatar #42 - somethingpants (05/29/2014) [-]
I honestly can't tell why they're so popular.
I like Game of Thrones as a TV show, though I don't know how accurate it is to he books. I would say pretty close, but I haven't read any of them. I just haven't seen people on the internet complaining.
#44 - rimjobmcgee (05/29/2014) [-]
The way GoT went is the way to go. There are changes between the books, but they're minor, and George R.R. Martin gave the show instructions on how to end it if he dies before he finishes writing, so they can't change too much. A show gives novels more chances and time to follow the original story
User avatar #45 - somethingpants (05/29/2014) [-]
I can't tell if he did that because he's in such bad condition, or just because the series is popular and he doesn't want anyone to ruin it.

I won't have kids either, but i am somewhat glad i got my ass beaten so hard i could not sit, i turned out fine and found out the world ins't fair really quickly and it kinda gave me a advantage in life.

I don't know man, i think it depends, there ins't exactly any situation in my life that requires trusting, but for what it's worth i trust my origin and steam accounts to a few of my buddies so they can play the games as well and it never backfired.

What caused the sensitive nose?
#57 - rimjobmcgee (05/25/2014) [-]
Born with it. Not sure why, but its sensitive to the point I can identify people by their smell, and use it to find things. Has major downsides though, strong smells can be overwhelming, and people that wear too much perfume or cologne I can't stand to be close to for too long

If I was you I would do one things or two things. 1. You might want to state a couch were they can't go on. Most dog don't like water on their fur so I use a water gun to tell my dogs to stop. You should think about that idea it's more easier done than said. 2. Most puppies or ones that think they are like to jump on people they just met. You need them to calm down, a walk is a good way. If you are lazy (I am too) than you should have the woman and the doges met first. Let them smell her and get her scent after awhile they will get bored and go do other things. I hoped I helped.

Nah, it isn't funny enough to be a joke. Its like a pay to win mmo, it doesn't have a conflict resolution end, the more money you throw at it the easier it is, but no matter how well you do, eventually something happens and you have to quit playing. Life's the game that no one will ever win, they'll just play as long as they possibly can, or give up and quit early on. The closest to winning is playing forever therefor never losing
