The problem is your example is not valid because nobody has said it like that.

Most people don't know the art of the marinade, they just don't understand that you have to knead and pound it thoroughly, making it so delicate and tender that when you bask it in the supple nectar of love, the vital essence of life is taken deep inside, seeping inwardly endlessly, erotically and delectably.

that sounds like a quick way to mess up your fedora
User avatar #8 - infinitereaper (01/08/2014) [-]
If you wear a fedora you're probably not getting laid.

What is it with the Fedora? I don't wear one myself, but I think that they are pretty neat.
What is this common thought about people wearing them?
#21 - bann (01/08/2014) [-]
I think the answer as to "why" it's happened is a bit different. Fedoras were a symbol of class and style once, people who want to appear "classier" and more intelligent started wearing them. As it would seem, the people who go out of their way to attempt to prove that are typically condescending asshats, hence the fedora became an indication that someone may very well be a "neckbeard douche".

Basically that anyone who wears a fedora is a loser that is only friends with girls because he thinks they'll sleep with him. Then when she inevitably turns him down he whines and complains about being friendzoned. Also they think they're gentlemen and a 'class act' just because they wear a fedora and they think they act like a 50s gentlemen by calling girls "m'lady" or other shit like that. There is a way to be a true gentleman, but they go about mucking it all up.

So....what if you are in a case like mine where I just wear hats and stuff because I like it?
Like if I had an fedora I wouldn't go around being a "gentlemen" I would maybe joke about it sure, but only around friends.
User avatar #14 - ohnomynamedoesntfi (01/08/2014) [-]
Oh and just to clarify I don't believe that everyone who wears a fedora acts like that, but it is an increasing trend I've seen on the internet. I'm surprised you haven't noticed before this tbh.
User avatar #15 - johnnyferno (01/08/2014) [-]
I have noticed it a lot, just never really understood it.
User avatar #23 - skeptical (01/08/2014) [-]
Just avoid wearing it all the time, and use an actual fedora and not a trilby
When the occasion calls for it it's a nice meaningless clothing accessory
If you play trombone or bari sax you're expected to go around wearing it everywhere though
User avatar #13 - ohnomynamedoesntfi (01/08/2014) [-]
I mean, people who know you would know you don't act like that, but they might still jokingly pick on you for wearing a fedora, just like how my friends jokingly pick on me because I have a Brony shirt. As for people who don't know you, who cares what they think, just wear what makes you happy.

Midwest. My cousing even did a bilingual course in spanish.
A school near mine offers Chinese, I've heard about schools offering japanese, and there were even plans to teach Italian at my school.

I wasn't aware of that. I could imagine Spanish, but I figured you'd need a dedicated educational path to have Chinese or Japanese as an option. Anyway, thanks.
