Some things need to be changed since it's in first person, obviously, but it just irritates me how much they change it. So much so that whenever I watch it I can't even connect it to the book for the most part because of how much it strays. For instance, when Danaerys is in the Red Waste, in the book the only person in contact with her that dies is her Lysene handmaid. But in the TV Show, it's her horse, which is still friggen alive up to where I am in the books, which is A Storm of Swords, a bit past halfway in. It's not so much the fact that they're changing it than the fact that their changes don't need to be made. | ||

I'm pretty sure Yoren is dead too, but I think when Arya confirmed the body she said something along the lines of "..and a burned body that could only be Yoren...", so it isn't like he's DEFINITELY dead, just very likely.  #16 -
