Maybe it's just the principal, then.. No one likes dealing with these sorts of restrictions, and were such an emergency or crisis to happen, again, you'd have a paperweight. I do take my xbox to various locations as much as possible to enjoy playing with my friends. Episodic shit has 0% on anything to do with the online checks, they were alright as they were on Xbox 360, and episodic shit is just an overall bad idea imo when the story, like Spartan Ops, is pretty weak as shit and the gameplay was just repetitive
And single player games were and still are meant to be an OFFLINE EXPERIENCE, hence the name SINGLEPLAYER

I know people at my school who don't buy Xbox live and only play single player games. It's alienating those people from the Xbox 1.

You don't have to buy Xbox live, a silver account will still be an option, all they'll have to do is plug an internet cable into the thing and they can play all the single player they want to.

The flaws of the system will barely affect most of us or the target audience and is much more than anyone makes it out to be, so this didn't really affect my stance on things.
