I study astrophysics, astronomy, neurology, science, robotics mainly, sometimes other subjects too.
I like to read, mainly sci-fi, play videogames and write my own stories in my spare time.

And the reason were in an unhappy world is because we as humans are choosing this life! Only we can change it, because only we have caused this, thats what im calling for, what im asking for, what im demanding, that people can just be accepting, kind, friendly and loving, its so much easier than youd think and believe me youll be alot happier
User avatar #16759 - reretzu (03/21/2013) [-]
It's also impossible, because we can never change all humans like this, and as long as people are acting with unhappiness there will be problems that can only be dealt with causing the same, and otherwise, animals, natural disasters and accidents would still cause similar problems.

Besides, honestly, I really find the world a better place without everyone being happy, because happiness feels much better after times of sadness, and overcoming problems, where the majority has unhappiness of some sort involved, feels amazing and it's an important part of developing us.

The thing is that we're not in a world based on happiness, we all wish we were but were not, and therefor everything can't be solved without getting down.

But well anyways, a lot of Christians, for example, spread their religion because they believe it is the truth, and it says that anyone who doesn't do this gets sent to hell for all eternity, so they're just trying to save us from an eternity in hell.

Curiosity still, it's about knowing just a little more about your friends. Also, a lot of religions are about spreading the word about themselves, so a lot of people don't really mind. Religion might be sacred, but that doesn't mean they have to be incredibly private.

Also, a lot of people, like me, find it fun to talk about religion, not necessarily argue, but just talk, and it has provided me with lots of great conversation.

i think you'll have a tough time arguing that this explanation is more logically sound than God

why do you like to have the same discussions twice?

this discussion isn't exactly the same as any other discussion i've had. i'm hoping that people will bring up new things to consider

well alrighty, fair enough

I don't have to, basically everything is more logical than god, and it's hardly the only theory.

sets the problem back a step. what caused this universe? and if this universe is timeless, then it also has to be immaterial, since material things are made of moving particles(no time=no movement)
User avatar #16672 - reretzu (03/20/2013) [-]
For all we know this universe didn't have to have particles in it, it could be made of something entirely else than neutrons and protons and such, from the ground up.

You've moved away from the point here, the guy above said it was "Amusing how the same people that preach freedom in America actually follow such a Big Brother."
I said they had the freedom to do so, because that is what freedom is. Nowhere did I say that they have the freedom to force you to live under Big Brother, more I said the exact opposite.
Besides, you have the freedom to not live under Big Brother, regardless of how much they try and force you too.
User avatar #16140 - reretzu (03/17/2013) [-]
I only have the freedom to do so for as long as a law doesn't get through, or I would if I was an american citizen, but I'm sure others share my concern.
However I get your point now and I'm sorry for not understanding fully.
