plus, it's the producer's own job to buy his VSTs, if you want to bring that into the equation, then I guess we'd better count up every $2000 violin, $14000 tuba, and $4000 french horn as well

no, they all sound shitty, none of them put out the authenticity that an actual trombone or viola player could put out, there's no change in distortion, no intensity, no tone variety
