in the jirachi movie, its Max who is upset and doesn't want Jirachi to leave. Ash goes up to him one night to talk to him, and Max just says that he doesn't want Jirachi to go, as it is his friend. Ash then says that he has had friends in the past that are no longer with him, and that every day he misses them, yet knows that he can still see them again some day.

Okay but that doesn't change the christians still think god is real, therefore using their beliefs is a valid way to express opinion. And don't add ignorant atheism to the ignorant christiantity going on above. Most christians that practice believe in gay marriage. No ones trying to force anything, theres idiots in everything.
User avatar #25 - redblueyellow (01/13/2014) [-]
Again, the fact that they think he is real only makes it real for them, not the ones they use that argument against. This does not make it a valid argument. They can use it to express their opinion, but not to force rules on someone who does not share their beliefs.

You are right, there are stupid people everywhere. An atheïst saying gay marriage is wrong just because he/she think it's wrong because it seems wrong or it doens't produce children is just as wrong (in my opinion) as a christian it's wrong because god says so.

But if you trully believe in god, then they aren't just beliefs, they're truths. Just like you believe god isn't real. You don't know he isn't.
#61 - theism (01/13/2014) [-]
Well the basis of the beliefs is different, and one can be demonstrated to be more logical or better supported than the other.
#28 - illusiveshade (01/13/2014) [-]
Just like you say, the definition of believing is actually trusting the unseen truths. And as you already have discussed with redblueyellow it most likely only applies to those who do believe.

But those who are real Christians, believe in god like you believe in the wind (When we are thinking if believing as described above) We know he is there, just like we all know the wind is there.

I am happy that this was able to to sprout a logical, and respectful discussion, and not just the ass-hat "lol, cristianfag. God doesn't exist. Atheist: +9000 Cristians : -666 " sort of comments. Have this cookie
User avatar #44 - redblueyellow (01/13/2014) [-]
It is important to take into consideration everyone's beliefs and the feelings they hold towards them in a discussion about religion. If I assume I am right just because you are a christian, I'm being a complete, inconsiderate asshat.

However, discussions about religion are fruitless most of the time. One party bases their arguments on their faith, which the other party doesn't believe in so to them the arguments mean nothing, and the second party bases their arguments on their facts, which the first party often don't see as facts due to their beliefs.

And thus the discussion ends in "yes/no, because God exist" vs "yes/no because God doesn't exist".

User avatar #23 - redblueyellow (01/13/2014) [-]
I'll admit there is no definitive proof that (a) God is not real. However this does not mean strong belief makes truth. If something is true or a fact it applies to everyone, not just some. I could believe in flying pigs, and even though my belief makes it real for me, it does not for everyone else. If I were to say people can't wear clothes on mondays because the holy flying piglord demanded it, no one would listen to me.

I do not say my beliefs are truth for anyone else, because I know there are people who do not agree with me. And that is fine. Just don't force your beliefs and "truths" on someone that does not share them.

I think gay-marriage must be allowed whether or not I believe in God, Odin, Zeus, Boeddha or a flying pig, because love must not be based on faith.

While most of the village houses are built from a combination of wood and stone, some are carved out of the mountain, creating little caves. A wall was built around the village, though with an open area between it and the houses, to allow more buildings to be built. Guards patrol the walls, streets and the open field.
During mining, several ore vines were struck, including iron and silver. The villagers used this to make weapons and tools. The silver was used for jewelry and to coat the weapons for more durability.

These weapons were first distributed to all vilagers in order to have a basic means of defense. Then a town militia, which the guards are part of, was created and trained. The were equiped with a bow and arrows and a sword and shield. They were trained primarely to fight in small groups, as this was the best way to go in the town. This made them skilled one-on-one fighters, although they preferred to fight in groups. Another part of their training consisted of learning to fight as one army, though this had not been neceassary to fight of the occasional group of bandits.
Those who proved to be exceptionally skilled in combat and combat tactics were recruited in the Core-force. They were trained by the best to be the best. Among their trainers was an elf and a dwarf, who both wandered into the village one day (on one horse) and decided to stay. While the dwarf trained them to fight with force and strength, the elf thought how to be swift and agile. Each was a formidable warrior on his own, but together they were nearly unstoppable.

Population is now 360, however 10 died while mining or while working in the woods or just of age
Of the 120 new humans, 30 will farm bringen the total food production to 700
20 will gather wood, making it 50+96
50 will gather stone from the mine, while those collecting the ore will stay the same, bringing the total for stone on 72
of the now 360 villagers, 20 do not have sex, which leaves 340 to produce offspring, which results in 170 in 2 days. (In this calculation I do not count children or elderly persons.

Having settled at the foot of the mountain, the Core-humans hadn't strayed far from their settlement. However, some news from passing travellers of a very small group of Homuncili and an insect uprising did reach their ears.

Some of the villagers working late at night in the woods kept telling others it was as if they were being watched by something hiding in the dark, but most of them shrugged it of thinking it must have been a fox or some other animal.

There was one day when a small group of travellers was seen approaching the village, but they suddenly turned around and came back from whence they came.

**redblueyellow rolls 96** This is the bonus for wood with a base of 30.

While the whole thing with the mine was going on, another group had already begun gathering wood to construct basic houses and farms. This was a group of 30 people.

The farmers (40 people, so total food production would be 400) used the three-year-rotation method, in order to avoid a bad harvest by exhausitng the ground. While scouting they stumbled across some cows and horses and stuff, which they took back to home and used for food and farming.

And finally, after a day of hard work, the humans are tired. But not tired enough to not have sex. (Assuming the male/female ratio of humans is 1/1, but like 5% (12) of them is unable to have sex or unwilling, or they're gay and don't produce offspring, that still leaves 240 people to produce offspring at 120 per 2 days. As my population grows, so will the people that have sex, though 5%-10% will always be sexually inactive and will thus not provide additional humans).

Good work my minion. You have pleased me quite a bit. It does not matter if her 'talent' and 'emotion' are no longer a part of her then that does not matter. Be sure to grab Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner as well. We could use their fan bases to 'capture' more members.

As for the spy, good job, but work quickly. We do not want this spy to spread the word about what we were up to, now do we?

I apologize for not being easy to reach, as I do not frequent this site very often. I shall make note to check it every day. What I do use more often is Skype or MSN. I tend to use these forms of communication daily. As well as websites other than this one.
User avatar #3 to #2 - redblueyellow (12/12/2011) [-]
I shall collect their souls master.

Master, I have important news. I have discovered our spy. I was horrified to find out, but not completely surprised. It was none other then one of ou own, one among the council: Ron Weasley.
What should I do with him, my master?
User avatar #4 to #3 - trollsinmycloset (12/14/2011) [-]
Good job my loyal Soul Taker. I have found that I can rely on you quite well these days. You have done well.

As for Ron Weasley, the council shall seek to confront him on this matter. Shall the council feel that punishment is necessary, they shall do as they see fit. If he was only spying to learn information, that will be fine, he will never leave the organization with that information... But if he had been spying with the intent of spreading information about the inner workings of the cult, then he shall be taken care of.

Go forth, my pet. Make me proud. >:)
User avatar #5 to #4 - redblueyellow (12/19/2011) [-]
Master, I started my hunt for he who is called Taylor Lautner. However, due to leaked information, he knew I was coming, so he fled to Peru. It is quite difficult to locate him here, for he has hid himself between the alpaca's. It is quite a challenge to keep him apart from these animals. However, I will catch him, do not worry. I will not fail.

What is the progress in the Weasly case, my lord?
User avatar #6 to #5 - trollsinmycloset (12/23/2011) [-]
Weasley has been found guilty of betraying the High Counsel. He is to be stripped of his honour and his position. He will be confined in our dungeons for some time while we repair for a memory re-write and a reassignment of his talents.

As for Taylor Lautner, keep going strong my pet. I know that you are the only one who can accomplish this task. *kisses cheek* I trust you will use your enthusiasm at my pleased disposition to work towards completing your assignments. Be quick my pet. :)
User avatar #1 - trollsinmycloset (12/06/2011) [-]
Thank you very much, my minion. I am quite pleased. While cleansing a soul is difficult, I am required to know how to perform such a task for my post as Soul Keeper.
One day, when you are more experienced and well trained, you shall learn this technique as well.
