quatro and firepro graphics really do not hit that sweet spot for cost to performance
they're workstation grade gpus yes, but they're not really made for consumers like you and me
furthermore... i think they may have come out and dropped cuda support in cc but cs6 runs a ton better on cuda gpus. so... depends on the application but in general things tend to favor nvidia on graphics acceleration. i'm a team red guy, so really not saying this to go fanboy on nvidia at all
you may want to consider getting a gtx card, though some applications like final cut pro actually only work well with the 69xx cards

Ok thanks for that! I was now leaning towards changing that firepro anyhow, but now i need to find a good GTX card, i was thinking of either the 580, 660, or 960. What would your thoughts on that be? Since you seem to know a good amount on the GTX.

the 660 is a bit of a dated card, so if you expect to do some gaming on the side you'd probably go better with the 960 im not sure on this, but i think nvidia has a department that's working with the unreal guys it'd probably work better there too
but the thing here is that everybody will say "oh if you drop another 100 dollars on a gpu you can get X" or "oh well if you spend all the remaining money you can buy X" , but the reality of it is that I don't really want to spend all my money necessarily, and I'll just opt to buy whatever's enough for whatever im doing
so... whatever's like, on sale or the cheapest in your area. the 660 and the 960 are the same price where i am, but you might see huge price differences between say a radeon 7870 and a 270. just pick your favorite vendor and browse whatever's good and available. any of the cards are fine. i think.

When you get a large enough group the other variables just fade into a grey area and it kinda works as a control. Not the best way to get this info the BEST way would be to get some clonal sample of human and make a few thousand of them, divide that into five groups, and have 1 eat red meat, 2 eat processed red meat, 3 eat similarly processed white meat, 4 eat non-processed white meat, and 5 eat only vegetable matter. But that's "unethical" but it works. kinda. I'd say to trust this conclusion.
