Well, the thing is, we're not overpopulated. By any stretch, globally. We just have our resources poorly allocated between countries. Some places don't live as well as others, and humans are prone to clumping together into communities. Better technology allowed for bigger cities. As for global warming, while it CAN become a problem, we often confuse climate change for the end of the world.

And global warming, while maybe not as earth destroying as some may say, is no doubt going to start having some serious effects in 50-100 years. There is serious evidence that suggests some low lying countries such as the netherlands are gonna get wiped the fuck out due to rising sea levels.

All in all, I'm not necessarily saying we are fucked in 90 years, i'm just saying the statement has more substance to it now than it would in 1910.
