and this is what worries me about the show's future. Faust and crew are brilliant, but the cartoonishly greedy pigs at Hasbro will fuck something up soon enough.

they already have, a new alicorn for example. how about the mare-do-well episode, it contains insanely amount of non-consistency when thinking about the rest of the show.

I know you guys dont believe it, but its true......
(Just look at the horrible toys that they put out)

Yeah, it's kinda funny, really. Like how they meddled with the show to have the writers make Blueblood a prince. They probably wanted to make a toy of him, but then he turned out to be a royal douchebag... whoops! They should have left the writers be and kept him a Duke! Then there wouldn't be the noodle incident of how Celestia could have a nephew when she's only known to have one sister who's been in the moon for the last 1000 years.

Aaaaaand, I knew that already.
They do want the show to be popular though, in order to get more money from merch.
It's just natural, since that has been hasbro's modus operandi since....I dunno....forever?
Heck, Transformers were created for the sole purpose of selling random toys from multiple japanese robot animes that Hasbro licensed.
#33 - mvtjets (05/26/2012) [-]
It just seems that they put zero effort into making their toys, they fuck up so many things about them. Imagine Applejack in a bright pink princess cart, its inthinkable......
#35 - doimas (05/26/2012) [-]
The toys are really related to the show by name only.
Rarely do they even look like the characters at all.
Not the mention all the silly acessories, that have no conections to the show whatsoever.
But, the toys are made for kids. Though, they are not good even by those standards.
Hasbro still works on the "kids are stupid" logic, when making toys at least.
#40 - mvtjets (05/26/2012) [-]
Little does hasbro realise that MOST of their viewers are guys above 13 years old......
User avatar #34 - rbrim (05/26/2012) [-]
Didn't they recently release newer toys that look better? I remember someone talking about how they got a Celestia that wasn't pink and how they made Zecora and Cheerilee toys as well...

Or maybe they bought those from private makers... I dunno.

User avatar #144 - mesues (05/21/2012) [-]
Alex more or less just kinda runs sideways up building. Cole, however awesome, has a very unrealistic style of parkour, basically just jumping from parts of the building. The best representation would be from the Assassin's creed series
User avatar #145 - Slashlord (05/21/2012) [-]
Well the best representation would be mirror's edge in my opinion, but assassin's creed is just plain amazing so I can't knock it at all.
User avatar #147 - mesues (05/21/2012) [-]
Never played mirror's edge, so maybe so. Just only thing to pick about AC's is just the obvious very convenient placing of objects to use
User avatar #152 - leonhardt (05/21/2012) [-]
No one said the Romans were creative when it came to random object placement.
User avatar #155 - mesues (05/21/2012) [-]
And the syrians/israelites for altair. I know its just for the sake of playing the game, but you know youre bored when you go through criticizing stuff like that
#125 - derpocracy (05/21/2012) [-]
There's a difference between parkour and blood propelled flight.
