Ah, that's news to me. I got a vita when they first came out and to change from console to portable, you needed the vita version. That plus the limited number of good games on the vita made me turn mine in after a couple of months

It's really sad that it didn't do well in the west. It can play games like BB and MGSV. Why would you *not* want that? There are a certain amount of games that can be played on it of course, but you just gotta look for the symbol on the back of the box.

Because for a solid two years after its release the only good game on it was gravity rush with a few others that were half decent peppered here and there. The announcement that monster hunter wasn't going to be on vita was the final nail in the coffin. I'll give you that mgs5 on vita sounds pretty sweet, but it's to little too late

You can't take a wii u tablet to the park. It's wirelessly connected to the console.

If the games stay in the base you would have to stream them over a cellular signal for that kind of distance. So there has to be some sort of HDD in the removable section. Maybe even making the removable section itself the console and everything else just a charge base.

I'd really need to see some specifications on it to figure out what's going.

Haven't really put anything out in terms of specs other than Nvidia helped. Gotta wait 'til march next year.

They'll likely be going with SD cards for memory, which are dirt cheap and easier to swap than an actual HDD

Interesting... Can you take the console games on the go or is it all tied to the console itself the way the Wii U is?

what? it's remote play. You just need a ps4 and a vita. If you check a box on a PS4 game it should have a remote play thing on it. MGSV: TPP can do it, bloodborne can do it, dark souls III can do it. The ps4 will go into rest mode when you activate your vita.

So what this isn't their new Console then but a handle held system?

I honestly don't know this is the first I've seen of it.
