I love seeing it come together and making it look like the instructions. Just seeing the separate built parts come together. When I was younger I always fantasized about being grown up and buying legos for myself. Honestly I still wanna do that.

That is correct. Giving everyone guns is not the way to achieve peace. APPLYING those weapons properly does.

Guns aren't some magic shield. They are a tool. They give people a chance and in America it's a personal choice to carry one. It's a major responsibility. One that some people grossly abuse.

That said , I would much rather have one in a situation that you describe than not. That's why I carry every day

Yeah but id rather have my kids go to school safely without the chance of a psychopath storming in and killing him because he could buy the "tool" he used to do it at a convinience store.
IMO cvilization is about being civilized, not about giving every man a gun so he can defend himself against uncivilized people. You teach people not to kill others.
Also about guns being tools. They are not. They are weapons. Tools are things we design so making other things is easier. Guns are a weapon we designed with the sole purpose of hurting others.

But it is a question of gun control... In this case the terrorists had what? 45 minutes to execute people one by one until the cops finally went in?

If just one had a handgun things could've been different. And before you say "herp derp handguns can't beat AKs " I will refer you to Garland Texas where one security guard stopped two muslims with AKs and the only injury was a shot to the calf.

Then why are there massacres in the USA every month? People panic and having a gun doesnt help in that situation. Or are you telling me that an untrained civilian can take down two trained yihadists with aks in the midst of a gunfight with lots of people running around?
