| Pretty much calories out > calories in, so you really just need to stick to a diet. Doesn't have to be water and salad for every meal but as long as it's not high in fat & calories it's alright. Also working out muscle burns more calories than straight cardio but it's still nice to do both. Start with a few body weight exercises to help get you warmed up, anything really. push ups, sit ups, wall sits, dips, squats. Head to the gym if you feel like being in an active "environment" will give you more motivation to push yourself harder. Jump on the treadmill for an hour, running or walking doesn't matter as long as you get moving. Here's a little routine I threw together off the top of my head if you want exact direction Set 1 pushups x 10 reps situps x 15 reps squat x 20 reps plank x 45 sec lunge x 12 reps each leg mountain climber x 10 reps Set 2: pushups x 8 situps x 12 squat x 18 plank x 30 sec lunge x 10 rep each rep Mountain climber x 8 rep Set 3 pushup x 6 sit up x 10 squat x 15 plank x 20 sec lunge x 8 rep Mountain climber x 5 rep Throw in 45 min - 1hr of walking in each day, soon enough fat will be shedding off you. Most of the guys on here have been working out for awhile so some of the stuff you read may be confusing but you don't need to worry about macros and powders until later if you keep on working out after achieving your goal. Adjust those numbers if you exceed in one area or suffer in another | ||

| put down fork x F buy chicken breasts 3x5 never buy soda again x F No soda at all and candy in strict moderation, cut down on refined carbs (white bread, white rice, pasta, all of that out) and replace with whole grain counterparts, and cut down on the alcohol or exclude it completely from your diet. Eat more veggies and mix them in the pot itself if you need to. Watch how much you're eating, count calories and try to memorize or estimate the calorie count if you want. Don't eat if you aren't hungry. Do cardio if you want to speed up the process, but diet is by far the biggest factor. Also, be a bit creative when cooking. When I say mix veggies in, I mean you can put it in just about everything. My meatballs consist of meat, oatmeal and carrots, meatloaf has a ton of spinach, etc. Clean up your diet. No soda, no candy, no sweets, etc. Then increase your activity. Go for walks, ride your bike, take the stairs, go for runs, etc. Being a healthy weight isn't difficult, you just have to lead a healthy lifestyle. You could also join a gym and lift weights, do cycling, swim, run, or do some sort of activity that you can take up as a hobby. #42051 -

Yes it comes as a perk (A good one, let's be honest) but main goals should be to be healthier, feel better and live a longer, more fulfilling life without dying early due to being unhealthy.
