I thought a little about that, but the person filming is probably his/her parent. Some adult taking the responsibility. I'm sure the kid was told the consequences of his/her actions, and I get the feeling s/he's laughing like crazy while chasing a screaming adult around.

If you say A and your "source" says B (or not A) and I call you out for it, then that is argument enough. The burden of proof falls on you after you make a claim.

Your claim: "new fascist Ukrainian government" is now ruling. In randomserb style I say "I was hoping you could educate me and point me to some sources you deem correct".

Anyway, you got served.

Can you please show me how Svoboda represent any form of majority? I could be wrong, of course, but I took your argument of Svoboda's ideology as an argument for the Ukrainian people now being represented by a "new fascist Ukranian government".

I'm going to revert to my old friend "insults" in saying either your original point was garbage or the new one you are trying to convey is.

Your debating style is so astounding that you have to break it down.

First let me duly note that now its "remove them from the country"?

How do I challenge this? It's difficult because it is nonsense. Try and argue that Russians don't actually want to kill all Ukrainians. Ultimately our discourse will be reversed. I'll spout propaganda and you'll either entertain my crap or insult me.

I can try I suppose:

I am Ukrainian. I speak Russian and Ukrainian. In interest of sovereignty we strive towards our "text books" being Ukrainian. It's unpractical for a country to have two administrative languages. I don't know a single Ukrainian who says "lets kick all the Russians out" (let alone cleanse them! that's why its funny to me! It is just ludicrous!). We simply want them out of government for reasons I hope I don't need to explain.

The Soviet Union only just fell a part and MOST people give the language a lot of respect. In fact my Russian is better than my Ukrainian and most of my acquaintances in Kiev speak Russian. My grandmother said to me over Skype just yesterday that it would be wrong to "ban" Russian. Nobody is proposing that. We just want our formalities to be handled in Ukrainian. Too much to ask? You are missing the main reason we are trying to avoid Russian influence in our government. They move towards Russia. Most of us don't want that. We've had bad experiences, you see.

My family is Orthodox Christian (I'm no longer), just like most Ukrainians and indeed just like most Russians...

Of course there will be people who shout for Russians to be killed, deport them and ban Russian as a language. To even call them a minority would be a laughable mistake. It is madmen and bigots being given too much attention and then madly exaggerated by Russia.

Were your grandparents Catholics, by any chance? Have you grown up learning to speak the Ukrainian language and disregarding the Russian language completely, even though the former is, historically, a dialect of the latter?
I'm not a bigot, I'm not Russian. You're not explaining, you're insulting. But I'm not insulted, I'd really like it if you actually reacted to what I had to say instead of going "hah that bit always makes me laugh". Ok, this article is fairly biased, or written by one who don't know much about this
"The protests remained largely peaceful until January 17th when protesters armed with clubs, helmets, and improvised bombs unleashed brutal violence on the police, storming government buildings, beating anyone suspected of pro-government sympathies, and generally wreaking havoc on the streets of Kiev. But who are these violent extremists and what is their ideology?"
The article seem to put the blame on protesters for the protests turning violent, but COMPLETELY fails to mention the laws that were put in the 16th uf Januare that made peacefull protesting pretty much impossible. To quote JFK
"Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable."

As for Svoboda, I compeltely agree that they have no place in a government, but that's for the people of that coutnry to decide, not us in other countries.
"All of these organizations share a common ideology that is vehemently anti-Russian, anti-immigrant, and anti-Jewish among other things."
Well, the leader of the Jewish Federation of Ukraine are among other religious leaders within Ukraine that have asked Russia to stop their agression, so I'm guessing that this article and media is playing this up to more than it really is. And much other here is basically speculations of who their "allies" are.

And the comparison to hitler and Mussolini is nothing but retoric to gain support.

But yes, I do agree that it's a worrying trend that right winged parties are rising. But I do feel it's wrong to go to an american level (or in this cass Russian) of intervining in other countrie's diplomatic processes.

Well I WAS just gonna be a dick on here, but if you insist:

Russia sent troops into a sovereign country. That alone is grounds for war. But they did it with deceit: Unmarked troops who would not identify themselves as being Russian. That alone should tell you that something is up.
It'd be one thing if they straight up invaded Ukraine: At least that's being honest with everyone.

Putin's cover for this is basically a sham: The troops are supposed to be there to protect Russians from events that have not occurred. That's just nonsense; It's clear the Russian movement of troops was planned out well in advance. Otherwise you'd be saying that Russian troops suddenly had a plan that for some reason involved removing what identified them as Russian troops.

It's most likely that Putin has been watching Ukraine for a while and had these plans in case he lost influence (ie the Kremlin approved president). He doesn't give two shits about the Crimeans: He just wants to gain back some of Russia's former might so right now he's using the Crimeans as his "excuse".

Russia is also in violation of a treaty (can't recall the name) that essentially ensured Ukraine its borders in exchange for the dismantling of their nuclear arsenal, plus a significant military reduction. Russia signed this along with the US and China. I'm betting Ukraine is wishing they still had their nukes at this point.

It doesn't really matter if EVERY person in Crimea is ethnically Russian, that land belongs to Ukraine. It still doesn't give Russia any right to send any troops over.

If the people in Crimea really want to be part of Russia, it's their job to figure that out within their own government and people. It's wrong for Russia to be running troops around while Crimea votes on whether or not they're going to be Russian; You know what the vote will turn out to be regardless of whether the people actually vote that way.

Well atleast we can agree on that.

As for myself, I'm mixed on Putin. I agree with some things he does and I disagree with some things he does - this is one of those times I disagree.

The Ukrainian Revolution and the Crimean Question, is an extremely convoluted issue due to the nature of both Russia's and Western media beating the situation to a pulp until their respective viewers believe what they have to say. However, the issue is open for opinion - based on very little facts that we have.

If you ask me, I think the media on both ends just needs to stop, and let the Ukrainians figure this shit out for themselves.
