I'll give it a shot. I'll try th Office first then, since I've heard it's hillarious. Sadly Netflix don't seem to have either only the U.K. version of the office, so I guess I'll have to get creative

Sorry about that, didn't mean to put the Office UK down, it's just that I was searching for th US one. I've heard that one to be the better one, but I wouldn't know since I haven't watched either fully and just bgun the US one,
User avatar #179 - kombee (03/12/2014) [-]
Yeah, the american one is definitely ridicoulus to a large degree, although I feel that's part of it's charm and why I'm watching it. It's a funny thing though, 'cause I would've kinda thought the opposite to be the case (somewhat) since british satire can be very surreal almost, lol (which I do like btw). But I guess they're very different shows all things considered, with different demographics in mind although they share a name.
#178 - gmkpmsj (03/12/2014) [-]
I'd say the UK one is the better, the US one is a bit too much obvious sitcom stuff, while the UK was more subtle and had less in your face comedy and more stuff that would actually happen in an office

also: here's a protip - when you watch the office, it will seem a bit boring or ...random no plot at first. but, keep watching. i tried watching when it was new, but didn't get hooked until i finally went in like 4 seasons deep and just netflix binged lol then by the time it ended i was sad to see it leave. once you start to know the people IN the office is when the show gets magical

User avatar #84 - kombee (03/11/2014) [-]
So, do you think it would be better to start from season 3 or something? I've read somewhere that skipping the first few seasons would be the best way to go, what do you think?
#131 - gerfox (03/11/2014) [-]
The same goes for Parks and Rec if you'll watch it later.
User avatar #132 - kombee (03/11/2014) [-]

#133 - gerfox (03/11/2014) [-]
Yeah, if you're going to watch it - it might seem like there's little plot in the start, and it becomes not that great before it gets truly awesome. Although the same goes for many tv shows.
User avatar #135 - kombee (03/11/2014) [-]
True. I'll keep that in mind if I do get around to watch Parks and Recreation sometime, thanks.
#85 - hashtronaut (03/11/2014) [-]
NO. no definitely not. you'll want to watch them AGAIN after you've watched all of them (if you end up liking it) but... you cant skip any of it lol

btw, thanks for the excuse to dump these fantastic office gifs lol

lol it's my pleasure
User avatar #97 - hashtronaut (03/11/2014) [-]
Oh, and one more thing: if it wasn't already obvious lol: the premise of the show at first was to have the worst boss... who think's the best.

#99 - kombee (03/11/2014) [-]
Oh you.

I've watched the first episode and it's brilliant and freaking hillarious. "..as a doctor you would not tell a patient if they had cancer", lol. It's easy to see the "weird but lovable"-boss vibe their trying to go with, and I'd definitly love to have a boss like Steve Carrel. The Jim/pam thing is a bit sad, but it'd just started so I'll see how it develops from here. It's great! On to episode 2

yeah. you'll be hooked on this show. remember to sleep, eat, and shit occasionally.

Yeah, it starts out pretty nicely and establishes everything immediately which I really like. The Jim / Pat thing started out so nice and then it just turns everything over when her fiancee comes.

I'll likely remember to eat since I can do that while watching. Sleeping and shitting will probably happen on their own either way.
User avatar #108 - hashtronaut (03/11/2014) [-]
lol yeah, but... all I can say without spoiling anything is they kept that rollercoaster rolling till the very end haha.

it's great because they can pull heart strings like that... then have michael or dwight do something that you lose your shit at

User avatar #74 - hashtronaut (03/11/2014) [-]
the good and bad thing about them is they are just a middle man, so you end up getting a lot of sources and a lot of options but some are dead/slow/ect

but... considering they will put an episode of a season up 24 hours or less after it airs and netflix waits until the next fucking season.... it's nice to have. lol
User avatar #79 - kombee (03/11/2014) [-]
Pretty nice, though I usually never watc a show right after it releases. It's nice to have anyway, since certain shows simply don't release here in Europe probably bcause of rights and stuff like that. I think I'll have to use your source either way to watch the Office too since my source wont load properly, so thanks for the link again.
#89 - hashtronaut (03/11/2014) [-]
yeah I didn't too often, but it was nice when I wanted to see an episode and missed the live airing of it. Mostly did that with breaking bad because if I didnt watch it someone would spoil it for me lol

lol yeah, but... all I can say without spoiling anything is they kept that rollercoaster rolling till the very end haha.

it's great because they can pull heart strings like that... then have michael or dwight do something that you lose your shit at
User avatar #92 - hashtronaut (03/11/2014) [-]
say hi to michael scott for me.

Mostly did that with breaking bad because if I didnt watch it someone would spoil it for me lol

another gif? yep.
User avatar #63 - randomathon (03/11/2014) [-]
Where do you live? U.S. netflix has every season of both the U.S. and U.K office.
User avatar #72 - kombee (03/11/2014) [-]
I live in Denmark, and it sadly doesn't seem to have th US version. Don't worry though I've already found an alternative.

as for me, things quite repetitive lately, it's kinda meh

Not so much that anything good happened, just that nothing bad happened.

Why did you decide to just be a dick and go through and thumb down all of my comments on that thread? I thought we were having a civil discussion about that topic, but apparently not.
User avatar #21 to #20 - randomathon (09/24/2013) [-]
I didn't?
User avatar #22 to #21 - schmitty (09/24/2013) [-]
Did you know that there is a little question mark next to the thumbs that you can click to show who thumbed up or down?
User avatar #24 to #23 - schmitty (09/24/2013) [-]
I was just curious as to why you did it, when I didn't thumb down any of your comments, I was just talking to you about the Wii and the Move.
User avatar #25 to #24 - randomathon (09/24/2013) [-]
I didn't.... I thumbed you up....
User avatar #26 to #25 - schmitty (09/24/2013) [-]
Well now that I asked you about it you did, but just a few moments ago they all had a net -1 from you and another guy. I mean I guess I appreciate you changing it, but I was just wondering why you thumbed either way.
User avatar #27 to #26 - randomathon (09/24/2013) [-]
I didn't though. I'm confused.
User avatar #28 to #27 - schmitty (09/24/2013) [-]
I was checking my profile, saw all my comments in that particular thread had a a -1 thumb. I clicked the question mark to see who had thumbed me down, two people had thumbed me down on all of them, while one person had thumbed me up on all of them. Your name was one of the ones thumbed down on all of them. I'm not mad, I'm not trying to be a dick or anything, it was just weird seeing that. Unless someone else uses your account, then it was you who thumbed me down.
User avatar #29 to #28 - randomathon (09/24/2013) [-]
no, no one else used my account. Maybe you saw it next to someone else then someone else came and thumbed it up?
#30 to #29 - schmitty (09/24/2013) [-]
This is what I see when I click the question mark, before a red thumb was next to your name.
User avatar #31 to #30 - randomathon (09/24/2013) [-]
you sure you didn't see flamingpie or maybe fqner had thumbed you down then up.
User avatar #32 to #31 - schmitty (09/24/2013) [-]
I'm sure, flamingpie thumbed me down on all of them and Fgner thumbed me up and you down on all of them, idk why he thumbed you down.

Most likely. Just so it's clear I am kind of a Sony fanboy, but Microsoft definitely has good products, such as the Windows Phone.
