Well, according to Einstein's relativity theory, energy and matter is basically the same thing. So I wouldn't say "according to some interpretations", because this theory is the foundation for all modern physics. Don`t want to be a smartass here, just wanted to clear things up.
#11 - noobiereaper (01/12/2014) [-]
Its more common to refer to matter as a form of condensed energy rather than stored energy
User avatar #7 - Eox (01/12/2014) [-]
And some interpretations say that matter is a frozen cat flying through space.

User avatar #19 - grapefruity (01/12/2014) [-]

So we can assume it isn't, and not equal to 420.

Yes, but what if the sign was situated just 1/100 of a mile in front of the original position
#22 - grapefruity (01/12/2014) [-]
I am confused, are you saying what if the sign was moved to be accurate to 419.99 miles? Or moved back to the original 420 miles (which would imply that it was recurring)

I haz the dumb.
#25 - jvcjvc (01/12/2014) [-]
If the sign was situated at the real 420 mile point, the number "419,99..." would be correct.

But the sign only says: (419,99), which is incorrect if it stands at the exact 420 mile mark.

So what if they actually moved the sign to it stood at the 419,99 mile mark?
User avatar #28 - grapefruity (01/12/2014) [-]
Aha, I see. Yes, if it was at the 420 mark, 419.99 would be inaccurate, and 419.999... would be correct (and vise versa). They would need to move the sign slightly for 419.99 non-recurring to be correct, unless the policy for installing road signs had a rule allowing leeway for accuracy in that regard.

I would have said 'But what if they didn't move the sign, meaning that it was actually equal to 420 still'. But I get ya. No worries.

the Song of Ice and Fire series (Game of Thrones)

What time is it set in?

Is there a good amount of action?

Is there a good storyline?
User avatar #2 to #1 - rainbowtacos (02/12/2012) [-]
Well im terrible at explaining things well but here goes:

Set in Medieval times its about the struggle for the kingdom of Westeros. Its told from the viewpoint of several characters and I find that it does move along well. Its not so much fighting action but closer to how people interact with each other. I find that it is really interesting, though a really long series (Each book is +700 pages, 5 books so far) but I blew through the first two quickly. Wikipedia would probably be more reliable than i would be, though.
