Its the same reason that people have mid life crises really, its the overwhelming crushing feeling of not having done something that other people have done and having the notion ingrained in your head that you should have it too. With men and sex is a tad bit different than that as it also carries the whole connotations of feeling somehow worthless or unlovable, which for humans as social creatures is a very debilitating feeling for most. Some of it is rooted in biology and some of it is rooted in in culture.
Either way it differs from person to person and some people just can't handle that crushing sense of somehow being less than

That make sense. I've always assumed it almost entirely a cultural thing though, but it makes sense that some people would be more affect biologically.

What do you mean "entirely a cultural thing"? You have instincts, sex drive is one of them, the instinct to procreate. It cannot be a cultural thing.

The desire to have sex is definitely biological, but the stigma around being a virgin and the bad feelings that go with it for some people I feel are more a cultural thing rather than biological.

Wish it could work with Zelda Windwaker, that thing gets 60fps until you get to the forest where it hardly goes over 2fps when I tested last year.

It would seem like it's fully compatible according to their site: wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=The_Legend_of_Zelda%3A_The_Wind_Waker

I know that the emulator has received a lot more work more recently, so compared to last year it's probably in a much better state.

I have a question, does it still happen that the games speed fucks up when increasing frames, I know old games relied on frames for their ticks, so increasing the games fps went speedhack on the game. Is that just a first consoles released thing or does it happen to ps1, gamecube etc emulations? I only own a super nintendo as of consoles and have never played on a gamecube, 64 or anything else aside ps1 and super nintendo

It's called frame-locking if I remember correctly, and it was really common on older games. They specifically modified the emulator and game to get around it. If you want to read more about it, they document how they did it here: dolphin-emu.org/blog/2015/02/07/game-modification-60-fps-hacks/

if it happens, you can just limit the frames. IDK if it does happen though
#22 - railyeightseven (03/31/2016) [-]
I know you can but I'm asking cause I know that pal and ntsc games run at different fps and they say that it plays like a totally different game, so I was wondering if that was still a thing
User avatar
#23 - goobyman (03/31/2016) [-]
never knew about the difference.

#25 - goobyman (03/31/2016) [-]
ah explains a lot,
Only had an analog TV when I was little, then they phased out pretty early. (I'm 18)
Although NTSC seems to be clearly the better choice here.

though i ask, why does it have a fixed aspect ratio + resolution?
#27 - railyeightseven (03/31/2016) [-]
I guess cause if you plug it into a huge screen it doesn't have fps issues by increasing the resolution to the point where the console would have problems producing the desired framerate, which would cause the game to run slower since the game ticks were tied with the fps, also pal was for european region and ntsc was usa I guess. I live in europe and we only had pal games, and since I'm living in a third world country we got our ps1's hardmoded and they only supported pal chips since that's all we got anyways
User avatar
#28 - goobyman (03/31/2016) [-]
Yeah same in Europe,

We actually have a huge like 50 Inch screen or whatever, but I literally can't play monster hunter 3 because FUCK the resolution is low. can't read the text.
#29 - railyeightseven (03/31/2016) [-]
hmm as far as I can tell on my monitor the emulation scales up pretty nicely for the mhfu on a psp emulation prntscr.com/amk1wg
What are you hooking up on the tv, a console or your pc with emulation running?
User avatar
#30 - goobyman (03/31/2016) [-]
My TV is hooked up to the Wii. I don't even know if my TV has a 1920x1080 res... probably lower TBH
#32 - railyeightseven (03/31/2016) [-]
ah that sucks, I also played mh3rd HD on the psp emulator so that was pretty nice looking too on the pc screen tho, you can maybe look your tv model up on the net and see the max resolution for it and whatnot
User avatar
#31 - goobyman (03/31/2016) [-]
but text on the tv normally is readable, even small text. so it;'s probably a large resolution
