Well, I do agree with most of what you've said. The issue is that with the old law, it is in fact still valid. Jesus came not to "abolish" the old law, but to fulfill it. Says very clearly.

The old laws contained things we still follow today and that we all know are sins. Dont commit adultery, dont steal, etc. So for instance, homosexuality. The old law stated that it was wrong and an entire empire was crumbled because of it. So by old law, yes, homosexuality is a sin. (sodom & gomorrah) So is stealing.

Per the new testament law, the only thing closely resembling speaking of homosexuality as a sin is a couple verses, such as Hebrews 13:4. Which, like all other sexual verses in the new testament speaks out against sexual sin, but it is referred to as "Fornication" which the hebrew word is "Porneia" meaning incest and premarital sex. The fact that God destroyed a nation because of it means that God obviously disapproves, but remember, Christ didn't come to abolish, but to fulfill. So is homosexuality a sin? yes. Jesus didn't die so that we can ignore everything that His and our forefathers had laid down to us, but to offer us a way out to avoid God's just wrath.

Some old laws were laid down such as eating meat, and clothing wise, were talked about in the New testament as no longer being necessary. Such as making sacrifices. We no longer have to make sacrifices because God sent his Son; and because God sent his son that was 100% man and 100% God he held the 100% capacity to carry all of our sins and carry them so that we won't burn in hell.

So to answer all the above questions, asked or not, yes. we break the old law and we need to ask for forgiveness, such as homosexuality and adultery but that's okay. That's the entire reason for Christs sacrifice. If we were to follow the old law, sacrifices and everything, we wouldn't be admitted to heaven. It's only through his sacrifice and our acceptance of it.
