I was a bit disappointed when they added another sword-wielding Fire Emblem character, but he/she looks pretty cool, so I'll give it a chance once it comes out.

Now I never played Bayonetta, but I really want to and she looks amazing. I think Sakurai did a good job with Smash. He doesn't deserve all the negativity he gets from his shitty unappreciative fanbase.

He was almost raped in one of the episodes. Just because he's used as a fun happy buffer for rick doesn't mean this isn't out of the question. I know most kids would probably snap like this eventually. Plus he probably sees rick as some sort of role model, hence why he thought he could fix it with alcohol. Shit doesn't always sink in until you dwell upon it for a while.

im not sure dopey is the right word any more- he's a mediator. He tries to improve rick, knowing hes one of the most powerful creatures in the universe. He pretends to be happy because that's what his grandpa needs him to be.

anyone can have a character break or soberring experience. for many addicts who "don't" care, there is always that one thing that makes them stop ad remember. for instance, interventions are intended to facilitate a sobering reality for addicts who seem like they dont have any feelings.

This is not impossible for ricks character...sure it may never happen on the show, but its an actual possibility given the characters circumstances.

it's not precisely out of character. We've seen rick show signs of depression and self-hatred, but he also knows that his work is important and can't live without his hedonism. This isn't a likely scenario, but it's plausible.
Morty drinking is totally possible, that's a piece of character development that I wouldn't be surprised to see at some point.
