no, I recorded the match and rewatched it. all they had up were stealth rocks. Play by play is; Mandibuzz and Garchomp are out; Mandibuzz at 3/4. Garchomp uses Outrage, finishes off Mandibuzz (was going to roost). Tyrantrum comes in, takes stealth rock damage, goes for the scarfed D-claw, but Garchomp outspeeds with the Outrage.

I did end up winning thanks to a combination of Groudon's Dragon tail (which didnt KO the garchomp anyway) and Specs Jolteon, but only cos Jolteon was able to KO three pokemon.

I do play showdown, but I like battling on the actual game more.

yeah, cos I want to spend a turn setting up with a tyrantrum that gets wrecked by, let's count them off; ground, fairy, dragon, fighting, steel and ice. So yeah as long as no ice beam, blizzard, icicle crash, ice punch, iron head, bullet punch, gyro ball, flash cannon, close combat, high jump kick, jump kick, mach punch, dragon pulse, outrage, dragon claw, dragon rush, moonblast, play rough or earthquake is coming my way I can spend the turn dancing. Or I can carry an item that makes me faster straight away.

I run scarfed tyrantrum because its attack is fine for me as is, and really I generally just use the rock head head smash, and I run D claw over outrage cos I dont want to get locked into a move that can easily countered by swapping in a fairy. But I'm not interested in an evaluation; my team isnt made to be uber competitive it's my favorite pokemon made into a team. What I want to know is how the garchomp outsped me.

It was in the middle of an Outrage, which is why I sent out my tyrantrum after it knocked out my Mandibuzz. It was only on about 1/3 HP left so I figured a choice scarfed dragon claw would put it down.
