Yeah, I am finished with High School (gradutated) and am being forced into college. My whole life I have had "ideas for my life" shoved down my throat. I have never, even as a kid knew what I wanted to be when I grew up.

I have been working at a Captain D's for over 2 years and can honestly say, I have no problem working there. Sure there are bad days, but the crew is so relaxed and the management isnt so strict. We cut up and have a good time, and its honestly fun.

Is it so wrong for me to not care so much about moving on? I honestly dont care if I stay at Captain D's. It pays me money and hell, right now with the money I have saved I am helping my parents pay for home renovations.

You mean someone infers you're a McDonalds employee
#56 - anon (05/03/2013) [-]
I feel that as a Mcdonalds employee people assume that you are a highschool dropout or that you are stupid. I am actually a freshman in college who is going for her bachelors in Psychology with a minor in criminal justice. I am anything but stupid. I'm only working there to help my family pay for tuition. So thank you for your comment.

Actually I heard McDonald's makes bank. Amen, better working than wasting away doing nothing. (BTW what's in;b4 mean? I see it all the time but never understood it)

I actually work at Macdolans (I'm a sophomore in High School, and my mom's corporate) and it's so annoying. Most of the people there are some of the nicest people I know, and that's where I met some of my best friends.
It's so annoying how people spend time ripping on people WHO HAVE JOBS rather than the low-lifes that sit around doing nothing.

I don't care if someone works there, if they enjoy it. But if they are working there at 30 year old or more and still a crew member and they are unhappy with it you should have finished high school or gotten a GED. I work there now and I can honestly say I hate every second I am there, right now i can't get a better job I'm 17 and most places you need to be 18 with a diploma to work at. I don't hate it because of the work I do, I'm fine with cooking shit and whatnot, I hate being around people, I kind of suck it up when I am forced to work around co workers but customers are always in my way making me maneuver around them to do my job they see me working, they still get in my way sometimes I think it's on purpose to. Most of them leave huge fucking messes (that I am forced to clean up) I already am anti social to begin with, add 75+ customers at the same time during the lunch hour and it's horrible. And on top of that, you are yelled at if you aren't fast enough to finish tasks. A job working midnight to 8 a.m at a gas station is perfect, few people, that's the swing shift I wouldn't be very busy. It's not that I'm lazy or anything I do try to work hard but it's frustrating when I am around a large crowd of
What I call them, "McFatties".

If they are 30+ and working a McD's job they hate then it is not due to their education. It is their unwillingness/lack of motivation to go out and do anything else.

"Mcfatties" HAHAHAHA! Dude, that is great. I'm so going to use that in the future.

I know you put a lot of thought into that response and I respect that...but....Mcfatties. lol best part of it, hands down bro.

But still you do what you have to in order to earn your living. Whether it's fun to you or not, it still should be respected. I wish you luck in finding a job better suited for you in the future.

...No. Different programs have different tools that different artists prefer.
#25799 - raaawrr (03/26/2013) [-]
Yes, a tool does help. But the key word in that is help. A tool still cannot replace or accomplish what mere practice can. And if an artist relies on a tool so heavily that he doesn't still need to practice to improve and master that medium than he's not an artist, just someone who can mimic a digital artist.
