Indeed so sir, another good thing about Houston is the forests around it, yet there's still lots of fertile farmland in the area, not to mention the large lakes as well. With less people, that's a lot of resources.

Exactly. If the zombies are the classic undead, they'll burst from the extreme heats of the summer, if not, well, they'll probably die of dehydration and heatstroke. I'd say it's still fairly safe. And Houston would be hit worse than a lot of Texas, but that's not saying a lot. We would be a fairly high priority for the military (clearly not as high as DC or NYC, but still fairly high. Main thing is just getting out of town ASAP, even if it's on bike or on foot.

Good point. So maybe just waiting out the summer inside of Houston because of the rain water. Waiting in west Texas in the summer would be a bad idea because of the minimal rain.
