Honestly those I have seen who do smoke weed are kinda really scummy types who don't do much. Not saying they all are but that "culture" doesn't give off the best image in that sense so it's hard to see the benefits being a great addition to someone if, by my experience only, makes them look like that. XD

I mean I literally can't see how smoking something alters your tastebuds to change the taste, hell might be the whole MSG enhancement thing but then that wouldn't work for other things like music as well musical taste is an opinion, which isn't affected too much by chemical changes I think.

Anyway before I go off on a huge tangent I'd just like to say that the image given off and the "culture" as it were seemingly outweight the "benefits" (I have still not seen any proof that can be taken seriously yet myself, but I also don't research on it as I really have no inclination to try the substance).

You definitely have your lazy stoners, those who deliver pizzas for a living and who center their jobs around what allows them to smoke, but honestly it is something worth trying, its fun, and it is a great way to meet new and interesting people, you will every now and then encounter that scum type but the majority are just people looking for a good time. and yes i do suggest that you try it at least once, it is mind altering, it is psychadelic, however it is not addicting (unless done regularly in large quantities, even then the only withdrawl symptom is mild insomnia) and the only downside is decreased memory and lung capacity.

Nah I never said every person is the scummy type just that that's the only ones I have seen and that is my only range of evidence for it, therefore the "stoner community humour" does not translate over all that well.

I get that people do what they want, the do what they gotta do, I don't do much in comparison to everyone else my age and that's fine. Only thing I was getting at was that I do not see the changes, like indicated above in qazxswwsx's comment, indicating as that big an impact as portrayed sometimes in stoner humour.
