I can't remember for the life of me... Sorry, it was a few people in my class that did it, I couldn't afford going there since you needed to pay a few thousand danish crowns to go there, which wasn't bad, but as a student, not really what I had money for. It sounded cool, though, we got the chance to work with a local company instead.

Which school? The one I'm attending? That's called University College Nordjylland, or shortened UCN. Sorta University level but not quite. Studying marketing currently.

I'm not sure how my college goes about it. It's something possible for 2nd and 3rd year students. We also invite people form scandinavia over here, so we can work together and share some values and norms and whatnot. It's really great. Sometimes it feels like those " MEET HOT DENMARK WOMEN IN YOUR NEIGHBOR " are actually true.

Hehe, lucky you. The Russian women we get seems to be the one they send out of the country purposedly. We got the chance to work with a couple of companies from the Netherlands last semester, which was quite cool. Good luck with it!

well its only racist if you target a specific race, it's more xenophobic than anything else, but hey economics aren't always the same everywhere. As you said you're a small country so immigration might not have the same effect it usually has when they integrate into the economy.
#48 - anon (05/10/2016) [-]
I dont feel its racist if we target the ones that have so far not brought anything to our country, they are poor, uneducated, refuse to work in most cases and bring crime, they are not the wealthy part of their countries. So why is it racist to not want to see your country suffer from more dead weight, be that uneducated Americans, syrians or chinese i dont care, we cant handle immigrating a big percentage of another country just to try t o educate them in schools and in our laws when most of them refuse to live a civilized way.

Just a question of interest here:
What is their view on immigrants?
I'm striving to work in the game industry and my college will assist with that. BUT. it means we have to visit countries like America, Asia and Scandinavia for work.
I'd also like to know some pepes there

Depends. If your from inside the EU, Norway or something similar, it's not a big deal. But if you're from any other place, expect a heavy dose of bureaucracy. If you're from a white country, and is a white collage kid; no problem. If you have a different skintone, some one will suspect you are actually there to steal jobs, and the rules are rigidly applied.

You're pretty much welcomed, unless you're poor and can't speak english.

Sorry for cringepasta smile. Camera is not quite fond with me hahaha.
I am from a white country and speak english pretty well.
Do I pass for ok as for my skin color? It shows red but I'm mixed asian...so..
#68 - stk (05/10/2016) [-]
You'll be fine, you need to look way more trashy to be suspected.
Danes are not racist or xenophobic as such, it's more convoluted than that (it could be a slight, benign inferiority complex). But just act impressed by the danish system, and flatter our culture and such (we love that stuff), and you should be alright with even the most hardcore right wing people.

#71 - pyjamadog (05/11/2016) [-]
As to what i'm hearing it's quite similiar to where i'm from. So it won't be much of a problem, from what i can gather.
Also, since i am asian i will probably give everything that you'd consider danish compliments. New things are always exciting, even if they come in small sizes.
I don't look trashy because i used to be that. Used to live in a ghetto sorta neighborhood but we couldn't take that. the racism and the unlawful prejudice from the christians was too much. So my parents went to college and we lived with struggle at first, but became exemplary foreigners in Holland.

We welcome most immigrants with open arms, especially when they come for either education or work. We're quite proud of working with people from all around the world. I'm currently attending an international university here in Denmark, we have people from all around the world attending. Work related, I don't really know though, I'm guessing if your college helps, they'd contact companies for you?

They're using foreign aid funds on the refugees, they would have gotten the same money if they had stayed in Syria.

We'd take all refugees without qualms. The thing is, these aren't refugees... they're invaders. Their true intentions have already been revealed; they want to start caliphates.
#12 - pureevil (05/09/2016) [-]
Not like it's my personal choice. Theres a difference between refugees and tourists/people that actually benefit us. Americans tend to either have a job which makes them move or have found a wife/husband, which makes them integrate easier in our society. We're a god damn small country, we can't afford these fucking refugees... If that makes me a racist, so be it.
