Said officials need to be *legally* arrested, and, should they be found guilty of the crimes I and millions of others suspect them to be guilty of, they may suffer the lawful punishments, which, as i understand, for Treason, is execution.

Security guards may lawfully be swept aside or arrested / detained themselves, as they are aiding the officials in their crimes.

We're a country of laws ;) Currently, that law is not being applied to many, many officials.

Correct - i was being too dramatic. "... and arresting hundreds of officials and trying them for treason." would've made more sense.

Well, the hundreds of thousands of Iraqis are not in the United states therefore they fall under martial laws and martial trials... but guaranteed, if they all lay down their arms they will have a fair trial... (besides, in the United states if you fire at an officer trying to arrest you, you can bet your sweet ass you'll get shot back at)
