The Eukanuba one tends to give rare breeds, this one seems to give more common ones.

Calm breeds are more rare in little dogs, however all puppies will be playful , its just some mellow out and some not as much :P
Anyways some breeds i would suggest are Dachshunds, Cavalier King Charles, and Cairn Terrier's are very nice as well. As for medium dogs Shelties are sweet. It's really a matter of preference, those are just a few. You also have to take into account how much hair you want to deal with, a sheltie will be a lot more grooming in comparison to a short haired dachshund.

Some breeds i would avoid that my mother has seen stupidity time and time again are: Cocker Spaniel, Shih Tzu, Lhasa Apso, Chow Chow, Akita, Basset Hounds, and Afghan Hounds are dumb as a box of rocks, lol.

The only two dogs ive ever had are on your stupid list. I dunno about the shih tsu, but my cocker spaniel is a dumbass. xD
