Yes that is why their immunresponse is much stronger, and that again is the reason why you do not vaccinate them, because you can not predict how extrem this Response will be. As is said, not a normal immune System, and you can not vaccinate them.

It'll stop two or three bullets.
It won't stop 50.

User avatar #564 - heartlessrobot (01/31/2015) [-]
If I made a vest out of 6 foot thick titanium armor plating, it would be pretty damned bulletproof.
Not that anyone could actually wear it.
But it would still stop any bullet invented.

"But it would still stop any bullet invented."

Invent larger, faster bullet.
No longer bullet-proof
User avatar #567 - heartlessrobot (01/31/2015) [-]

User avatar #568 - testaburger (01/31/2015) [-]
Doesn't matter what you'd need.

If there's a billet capable of penetrating it, it's not bulletproof.

Well, firstly, vaccines aren't 100% effective against anything, they just strengthen your immune system against that thing. So putting an infected child in a group with vaccinated children doesn't guarantee that other children won't get the virus, though it makes their chances better. In an environment like Disneyland, putting your infected child around thousands of other children increases the chances by that much that another child will get infected, and it only spreads from there.

Herd immunity.
#125 - mcferryn (01/31/2015) [-]
The Problem is that you can not vaccinate a Baby because the immune System isnt working properly, but a Baby can still get for example measles which would most likely kill the child. Which is exactly what happened before there where vaccines. So if you have children always Keep away from These idiots who in reality endanger your child.
User avatar #130 - proudnerd (01/31/2015) [-]
Unless you are talking about a newborn baby, you are simply wrong. Babies and children have larger Thymus, which is what creates T cells that combat pathogens.
#134 - mcferryn (01/31/2015) [-]

Because even though the measel's was eradicated from the u.s., due to the efforts of anti-vaxxers bringing their unvaccinated children to Disneyland, they started a wave infecting healthy kids, and now there has been a new outbreak that is growing because of them.

Because they can be carriers of these diseases and by allowing them to ex passed on they evolve and become worse diseases.
Just Google Heard Immunity.
#206 - akumaxoji (01/31/2015) [-]
Plus there are rare medical cases where people cant receive vaccinations and they put those people at risk too as well as the fact that the people they don't vaccinate are young children who cant decide for themselves.
User avatar #495 - nigeltheoutlaw (01/31/2015) [-]
This. I can't have the tdap vaccine (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis) and I have to rely on others being properly immunized to avoid most cases of the disease, but the problem is that anti-vaccers have ruined herd immunity so there have been huge outbreaks of diphtheria and pertussis, and I even caught pertussis from one of them. It's not nearly as simple as "hur let the dum ones die!"
User avatar #81 - proudnerd (01/31/2015) [-]
But if you vaccinate your kids, they aren't going to get sick... the evolution thing of which you speak has nothing to do with herd immunity

#83 - thepizzadevourer (01/24/2015) [-]
Karen Traviss wrote some of the best Star Wars fiction of all time IMHO (the Republic Commando series, highly, highly recommend it) until the idiots over at Lucasarts shut down the series so they could make their kids TV show based on the Clone Wars. Had no idea she wrote Halo stories, I need this series like you wouldn't believe. >>#75
User avatar #84 - straitedge (01/24/2015) [-]
Yeah man, she writes one trilogy, but it's after the Human-Covenant war. If you at least played the games, then it shouldn't be too hard to pick it up.
But I do recommend reading the other books first, so that you get into the lore and understand who Catherine Halsey is, how the Spartans were made, how the war really started, etc.
