I went with freedom once. It's really good as well, actually. Anyway, with the policy tree I usually do Tradition-liberty-rationalism-commerce-order. Sometimes commerce and rationalism are switched, but I think it's good. Also, quite ironic, using commerce and order.

Rationalism is the one with science. You can't have piety and rationalism at the same time.

If you are playing on harder difficulties, you get less base-happiness. Also, luxury resources. By the way, you can increase the number of lux. resources in the advanced menu.

I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You’re fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the United States Marine Corps and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. Also, the AI is quite stupid. I mean, even if they got you by the balls, they still don't attack your cities, or the units just stand there.
User avatar #72 to #71 - pringlez (04/07/2013) [-]
I do agree. In one of my game's with my friend, Russia caught me off guard, declared war, and ended up having a military of about 20 units (early game, like not even turn 100, but whatever). I was able to fend off a few, but I told my friend that the game might end up being a quick one. Instead, after killing like 3 units, Catherine decides to just leave. She never attacked back, and I just sat like 7 bowman at my border, just waiting.

They never came.

When I went to attack her even, they weren't there, now that I think about it.
User avatar #73 to #72 - crazyolitis ONLINE (04/07/2013) [-]
Yeah, I hope they fix that in the new expansion, or the next game.

By the way, ever heard of Tropico 4? Awesome game.
User avatar #47 - crazyolitis ONLINE (04/07/2013) [-]
He is also the one to *almost* never go to war. He doesn't settle that much new cities and doesn't denounce me for no reason.
User avatar #48 to #47 - pringlez (04/07/2013) [-]
I dunno about the first one, he liked to declare a lot when I played with him, granted it was against Nobunaga.
User avatar #49 to #48 - crazyolitis ONLINE (04/07/2013) [-]
Heh, yeah Oda is always the one to piss other empires off. But, his unique ability, Bushido is awesome.
User avatar #50 to #49 - pringlez (04/07/2013) [-]
What does it do?
User avatar #51 to #50 - crazyolitis ONLINE (04/07/2013) [-]
Wounded units deal the same damage as units with full health.
User avatar #52 to #51 - pringlez (04/07/2013) [-]
Wow. Talk about kicking some ass.
User avatar #53 to #52 - crazyolitis ONLINE (04/07/2013) [-]
Hell yeah. But I like Russia's +1 production per strategic resource and double iron, aluminium and uranium better.
User avatar #54 to #53 - pringlez (04/07/2013) [-]
Sounds nice, but Autocracy has fascism which doubles all strategic resources, so you could get that already.
User avatar #55 to #54 - crazyolitis ONLINE (04/07/2013) [-]
I wonder if it stacks. Anyway, I usually go for order. The science and happiness boost are awesome.
User avatar #56 to #55 - pringlez (04/07/2013) [-]
That'd be pretty overpowered if the effects stack. I used to go for order as well until my friend introduced me to the great effects of fascism.
User avatar #57 to #56 - crazyolitis ONLINE (04/07/2013) [-]
I went with freedom once. It's really good as well, actually. Anyway, with the policy tree I usually do Tradition-liberty-rationalism-commerce-order. Sometimes commerce and rationalism are switched, but I think it's good. Also, quite ironic, using commerce and order.
User avatar #58 to #57 - pringlez (04/07/2013) [-]
Which tree is rationalism again? I wanna say that's the other one with Piety.
User avatar #59 to #58 - crazyolitis ONLINE (04/07/2013) [-]
Rationalism is the one with science. You can't have piety and rationalism at the same time.
User avatar #60 to #59 - pringlez (04/07/2013) [-]
Right. I usually go Liberty>Tradition>Commerce>Autocracy>Rationalism
But by that time the game is probably over.
User avatar #61 to #60 - crazyolitis ONLINE (04/07/2013) [-]
Why do you go with liberty first? I don't know about you, but I want to keep my first worker busy.
User avatar #62 to #61 - pringlez (04/07/2013) [-]
I like to get my second city up fairly quickly after starting so I end up having two powerhouse cities late game.
User avatar #63 to #62 - crazyolitis ONLINE (04/07/2013) [-]
I like to wait a little while. Happiness, you know?
User avatar #64 to #63 - pringlez (04/07/2013) [-]
Yeah, I've been having problems with happiness recently actually, and I'm not sure why. I play the same way every game lol.
User avatar #65 to #64 - crazyolitis ONLINE (04/07/2013) [-]
If you are playing on harder difficulties, you get less base-happiness. Also, luxury resources. By the way, you can increase the number of lux. resources in the advanced menu.
User avatar #68 to #65 - pringlez (04/07/2013) [-]
Hm. Apparently I'm better than I thought lol
User avatar #66 to #65 - pringlez (04/07/2013) [-]
Yeah, but I find making resources for abundant cheating :p And about the difficulty thing, I was basing my performance solely on games on Prince. Like, my first game on Prince, as soon as I hit 150 happiness, I never dropped below. Then shit happened the next few games. It probably was luxury resources.
User avatar #67 to #66 - crazyolitis ONLINE (04/07/2013) [-]
You got 150 happiness?! the highest I usually go is like 40. And hey, with increasing the stuff, that means that also other empires improve as well, meaning bigger armies, wars and fun.
User avatar #21 - crazyolitis ONLINE (04/06/2013) [-]
How about we continue on your profile? Much more orderly.
User avatar #22 to #21 - pringlez (04/07/2013) [-]
Sounds fine. And sorry for the absence. I had some important basketball to watch.
User avatar #23 to #22 - crazyolitis ONLINE (04/07/2013) [-]
No matter, buddy.
User avatar #24 to #23 - pringlez (04/07/2013) [-]
So.

What were we talking about?
User avatar #25 to #24 - crazyolitis ONLINE (04/07/2013) [-]
Family stuff and computer games. Can't completely remember.
User avatar #26 to #25 - pringlez (04/07/2013) [-]
Ah yes. Civ and my asshole of a dad.
User avatar #27 to #26 - crazyolitis ONLINE (04/07/2013) [-]
So... Do you prefer tall or wide empires?
User avatar #28 to #27 - pringlez (04/07/2013) [-]
Tall as in less cities, but a lot stronger? And wide as in the opposite? If so, a moderation between the two.
User avatar #29 to #28 - crazyolitis ONLINE (04/07/2013) [-]
Yes, and yes. I usually start very tall, and mid-game I just conquer the people that annoy me the most. I've got like 4 original cities, and the rest like 20 is all conquered.
User avatar #30 to #29 - pringlez (04/07/2013) [-]
That's how I play. In fact, my current game with my bro, I have only 2 original cities (French) and 6 conquered.
like

wat
User avatar #31 to #30 - crazyolitis ONLINE (04/07/2013) [-]
You like to play multiplayer? By the way, with single player, what difficulty do you play?
User avatar #32 to #31 - pringlez (04/07/2013) [-]
I usually play multi with friends (my bro, his friends, my friends, etc.). And on average, I play about a Prince or so. It fits me perfectly. I am currently on a path of playing every difficulty from easiest to hardest. Where do you think I'll start finding difficulty?
User avatar #33 to #32 - crazyolitis ONLINE (04/07/2013) [-]
Depends on it. What map type do you play? For me, archipelago is the easiest. I play on king, and no difficulty. However, continents on prince are a lot harder for me. I'm bad with early warfare.
User avatar #34 to #33 - pringlez (04/07/2013) [-]
I like to play on Earth maps, but I mostly play Prince on continents. Or small continents, just to make sure I get my own continent.
User avatar #35 to #34 - crazyolitis ONLINE (04/07/2013) [-]
And how fast are you with wonder-building?
User avatar #36 to #35 - pringlez (04/07/2013) [-]
Eh. There are some wonders that I have to make sure I get (like the Great Lighthouse when I'm Elizabeth) but a lot of the time, I forget to build some so I get beat out on a couple.
User avatar #37 to #36 - crazyolitis ONLINE (04/07/2013) [-]
I usually rush for the great library, and go for stonehenge if I can make it. But Macchu Pichu, if possible and all the happiness wonders are mine. If not, all my neighbouring empires feel my wrath.
User avatar #38 to #37 - pringlez (04/07/2013) [-]
They usually feel my wrath anyways. Sooner or later they act like a bitch to me, or random denounce, and I tell em (metaphorically, since I can't really) "Aw bitch you dun goofed."

And then I win.
User avatar #39 to #38 - crazyolitis ONLINE (04/07/2013) [-]
Basically every game. Yeah. You know, most of the time I really want to be a nice guy. Trading, gaining culture and science, having a small army, if any at all. Then, they say that it was foolish of me to trust them- and they get their arses kicked. One thing leads to another, and before I even know it, world domination.
User avatar #46 to #39 - pringlez (04/07/2013) [-]
YES. He does whatever I ask of him, and I do whatever he asks of me.
User avatar #44 to #39 - pringlez (04/07/2013) [-]
Heh, no. He's usually first on my list because he's always been so easy for me to take over.
User avatar #45 to #44 - crazyolitis ONLINE (04/07/2013) [-]
You know who is a really cool guy? Kamehameha. He's usually the only one not a digbag to me.
User avatar #42 to #39 - pringlez (04/07/2013) [-]
I know Gandhi is actually pretty submissive to me when we're friends, but again. It's probably just me.
User avatar #43 to #42 - crazyolitis ONLINE (04/07/2013) [-]
Have you played a long enough game for him to make nukes?
User avatar #40 to #39 - pringlez (04/07/2013) [-]
Dude, tell me about it. I always end up having the "famed economy" and whenever someone needs some help I would hook them up.
Then they try and blitzkrieg me. It's like, bro, I just gave you half of my treasury.
User avatar #41 to #40 - crazyolitis ONLINE (04/07/2013) [-]
Yeah, man. If I would have 100 gold every time a civ declared friendship with me, and asked for half my money or a luxury resource the very next turn, I could buy and maintain 400 units late game. However, I wonder if you can also ask stuff from them when you're friends? Like with the demand option.

COMMENT VIRGINITY RAPED
Hello Pringlez, before I accept your request, I must know the following:
1. Who are you
2. Why did you add me
3. brony or Non-brony
4. Are you an old friend of mine that made another account or simply a new user
5. What's your favorite show and movie

I ask these because I need to pre-screen people. Lately I've been getting idiots who add me only to fuck with me. I do not approve of that.
#2 to #1 - pringlez (09/28/2012) [-]
1. I am pringlez.
2. I added you because I still think you to be a cool guy unlike everyone else.
3. I am like half-brony I guess. I watch the show, but I don't praise it as a religion.
4. Just a new user.
5. Avatar: The Last Airbender - 21 Jump Street

>mfw I lose comment virginity

I find your answers worthy so I accept your friendship. Just so you know, I am a good guy. I'm writing a short bio that I'm gonna post here to tell FJ my success I have created upon my friends here. I'm not a hardcore brony either. I like the show too, but I'm not worshiping it like a religion. I just like how it relates to The Powerpuff Girls and other pop culture references. Oh and you're welcome about the virginity. Who better to pop yours than a popular user. ;)
